Complete with replica of the '92 opening. youtu.be/D-U-fV-vC3Y (Part 1) youtu.be/86yymqs1Ew0 (Part 2) A notable thing--aside from the fact that all three players play pretty dreadfully in Round 1, what's interesting in this version is that the host (Laura Flores) will send a round into Speed-Up mode, but it isn't necessarily the end of the game. Other notable things: --Surprise (Sorpresa) comes into play in Round 2, as does a regular wheel prize (labeled "Premio"). --This particular episode appears to be a celebrity special. --Top...peso amounts go from $850 to $1,000 to $1,500, and each one stays on the wheel in subsequent rounds. --Quiebra = Bankrupt, if that wasn't already obvious. --The Bonus Round follows the pick-your-envelope format (from S-U-E-R-T-E). Prizes ranged in value from just under MX$4,000 to a truck worth MX$72,000+. There's also a cash prize of MX$25,000. --Only four letters are given to the contestant to start: R, N, S, and E. The contestant then gets the standard 3 and a vowel. --In the closing credits, you can see this version has TWO puzzleboards.

Guys, in case you're wondering if the episode I'm showing you is the same episode as Woowho showed us. It's not. Please see for yourself.
One of the things I notice is that the puzzles have red letters with a noticable tab seen at the bottom right of the red-lettered squares. I wonder what those are for anyway.
Got yet another episode. This one's from May 9, 1996. There have been a lot of changes, even for the Wheel. Although the value layout is the same, the N$ symbol has been replaced by a $. If you look closely, you'll notice that some of the $ signs are upside-down.

And the May 9, 1996 was the second to last episode according to the title (I understand quite a bit of Spanish). So we've discovered that the Mexican show ended on May 10.

May 10, 1996, was a Friday, so I find that very plausible.
Now I learned why the N$ was replaced with $ by this point. Someone over at DeviantArt asked me what the N stood for. It stood for "nuevo," which means new. Throughout the first half of the 20th Century, Mexico's peso (MXP) was actually one of the most stable currencies in the world. Then, in the late 1970s, hard times came with the Oil Crisis. The MXP's worth started to drop as a result. On New Years Day, 1993, about a couple years before Rueda premiered on Televisa, a new peso was introduced. N$1 was the same as approximately $1000 in obsolete pesos. The N was added to distingush the new from the old. As seen in the May 9th episode, people probably could tell the difference between the old and new pesos.
I do have a coin minted in 1988 that was worth $1000 in MXP. Today, it obviously has no worth, but I still find it interesting to have. I'm sure some folks in Mexico have some MXP coins and notes as part of a collection.

Two episodes from February of 1995 have recently surfaced. Interestingly, the top peso values are N$1000, N$2000, and N$3000 despite the fact that the minimum is still N$100. At this point, there is a possibility they may have brought up the top values for team players only or the N$850/N$1000/N$1500 may have been a short-lived top-value structure on Mexico's version.

Interesting to note that the third puzzle of the first episode was solved with only the J. The team must have already known what it was.

A friend told me at YouTube that, according to Wikipedia, Wheel is coming back in Mexico under the title La Ruleta de la Suerte. I checked out the article about international versions and read that it will be airing on the channel Azteca UNO. Looking more into it, I found this video at Facebook about what programs to expect on the Azteca UNO this year. The only mention of La Ruleta in the video is a very brief appearance of the logo at the end. Since it's a recent logo of Spain's version, I see a couple possibilities. The first is that they are also using Spain's logo either officially or as a prototype for a revival. The second is that they will simply air recent episodes of Spain's version. Although the second possibility may seem unlikely, it's still a possibility at this point all the same. www.facebook.com/watch/?v=1676107662852116

It's confirmed that Wheel is indeed coming back in Mexico! According to this post, Rafa Mercadante and Zelma Cherem (AKA Curvy Zelma) will host the show on Azteca UNO. No word on when it will air just yet. http://instagram.com/p/CrBkVFUshrI

Weird that the Lose a Turn space is black and there's no Bankrupt space from what I can see. I know only of Shopper's Bazaar's wheel having the same.

Germany and Hungary both omitted Bankrupt but only on specials such as Germany's kids' version and Hungary's 100th episode. I have yet to see any version to regularly omit Bankrupt apart from the Shopper's Bazaar pilot. Now I have seen some versions regularly omit Lose A Turn such as Denmark and Greece, both back in the late nineties. Although there are plenty of other ways to lose your turn yet keep the money you have for the time being, I can't cite this for certain as a reason for such a thing happening. On the contrary, apart from Bankrupt, the only other way to lose your round winnings on many versions such as ours would be if you were not the one to solve the puzzle, and I would not be surprised if this is the case for Mexico's new version, but we'll see what happens come July 31st.

So I just finished watching the premiere. The show can be watched here. It is geolocked, but Azteca UNO isn't currently blocking at least my VPN. (This is unlike the German version, which I haven't been able to watch even with my VPN, and the Greek version, which is not geolocked.) Some things of note: - Despite the set being heavily based on Spain's, some American cues and sound effects are in use. (The American cues used come from the previous music package, not the current one.)
- Rounds 1 and 4 are preceded by a MX$1,000 tossup. The winner of those tossups start the next round; the other rounds are started by the player after the one who solved the last puzzle. In at least this episode, the winner was declared after round 5.
- The top value is MX$2,500 in all rounds.
- Most wedges are in multiples of MX$500, but there are some MX$600 wedges on the wheel.
- Vowels cost MX$250.
- If you buy a vowel already in the puzzle, you lose a turn and don't get a refund.
- The bonus round rules are the same as in the United States. If you don't land on the car on the bonus wheel, you're shown where it is after the round, which implies the car is the top prize.
Also, if you pay close attention to the video where they build the set, there are wedges that have been made but were not used in the premiere, including Bankrupt wedges and wedges labeled "Divide por la mitad" (which means "Divide in half" in English and has the same coloration as the Bankrupt and Lose a Turn wedges).

I've watched today's episode now and have a little more information about the bonus round: - I should have clarified that contestants don't get to pick the bonus round category—my apologies for that.
- You don't have to pick your vowel last—they'll keep mental track of it until you've picked your three consonants, then they'll show the vowel that you picked below the board after the consonants.

I confirm that the August 8 episode (which was the latest one as of qr333's post) adds a Quiebra wedge for the last two rounds (rounds 5 and 6). The same buzzer plays as in any other loss of turn if hit. It's the only episode I've seen it in so far—it's not in the August 10th episode, although I'll admit I haven't seen all the episodes.
The layout looks like it changes every day, too, which will be interesting if anybody decides to make layouts of this version.
