Ha! Thanks for the comments, Andy (correct?). The Pat remark that you mentioned was close. I believe he said "Don't do that for legal reasons." (No "again") He was referring to the puzzle of BENDING OVER BACKWARDS. My Grandma also asked about that, interestingly enough. Did you see how big I am (I'm 5' 8.5" - almost as tall as Pat - and about 170 pounds)? I am not that flexible! In all seriousness, though, Pat was joking about the fact that we were standing on some pretty high platforms.
As an aside, the platforms actually have small mechanical elevators in them, so stagehands can raise or lower the podiums to accommodate people of differing heights. How do I know? Before our game began, Katie's platform had to be lowered, as she was pretty tall (even without heels!). Katie let out a little yelp of surprise as she was being lowered.
