When's the last time Wheel's actually deserved a nomination, let alone winning?

Wheel won back in 2011, though that was probably just because of Pat's Lifetime Achievement Award.

2011 had to be because of Pat's award, because 2010 wasn't exactly a banner year for the show.

As much as I love Billy Eichner, I was shocked to see him get the nomination over Pat.

And did you notice Family Feud is nominated for a award, the first time since 1995? But what was the last time Wheel was never nominated? I don't usually keep up with past nominations.

2005 (the 32nd ceremony), although Merv got a Lifetime Achievement Award.

Besides 2005, Wheel of Fortune didn't get any nominations were in 1992, 1996, 2001 and 2009

It just goes to show that although it's the highest rated game show it's still pretty underrated when it actuallty matters

That's a shame. What goes around comes around, I guess.

And I'm surprised that Cash Cab got nominated for an Emmy, despite being axed already. (It still is my favorite quiz show, and it has used ''Wheel''-related questions, one of which was about the Bankrupt slide whistle; the players who got that one missed it and ultimately struck out)

Really? What was the specific question (and other Wheel questions they had)?

I saw a repeat of Cash Cab After Dark last week, and it had the question regarding the slide whistle (rather, what sound is made when Bankrupt is hit; they said Trombone--which, I don't know if Wheel would allow. BTW, that was a $100 question.)
They also had one regarding Vanna White and how many times she claps per second (but Vanna was the correct answer; it was a $50 question, so it would be an easy one)

What was the last year Wheel won an award that wasn't an honorary one (like Pat and Merv's Lifetime Achievement Awards)?

Since they didn't win anything last year, it must have been 2011 as discussed at the top of the thread.
