That set looks awesome. Kinda has a 90s feel to it, which is good.

To be honest, I thought the 2009-2013 set was very...how should I say this....BORING! I felt that it was lacking, and needed an even BIGGER upgrade. They definetly did it,and I love the new set. But my favorite set is still Sushi Bar (just cause I grew up with it)

Just saw a promo for "The Queen Latifah Show" (filmed at Sony Pictures Studios) that showed her and Will Smith in front of the 2009-13 Jeopardy! podiums.

Not really crazy about the new contestant podiums or everything inbetween the columns. I've said it once before but I don't get why it's necessary for the extra "dimensions" needing to be added... EDIT!

Yeah, I don't like the new set, either. I was expecting a new set after 5 or 6 or possibly even 7 years or after Alex Trebek declares that he is going to retire from hosting America's Favorite Quiz Show. The High Definition set is 1 of my least favorites because of the width of the podiums & now, the new set is my 2nd least favorite set. I used to like the CES set, but I stopped liking it after Alex started walking from behind the board instead of through the sliding doors for seasons 28 & 29.

I wonder why J! is always changing their set while Wheel has basically had the same one since '03? Never figured that one out...

Because Jeopardy's budget permits it, while Wheel of Fortune's budget precludes it, because of all the prizes given? Just a guess. Plus, they're ever trying to make the clues look sexier.

It's the backdrop that changes every week on Wheel. The wheel and the puzzle board have been the same since '03 (even though they both got revamped in '07 and the wheel got revamped again during Season 27 and again last season). Also, the generic backdrop on Wheel was overhauled during Season 28; the original generic backdrop lasted from midway into Season 21 until the end of Season 27.

Just saw a promo for "The Queen Latifah Show" (filmed at Sony Pictures Studios) that showed her and Will Smith in front of the 2009-13 Jeopardy! podiums. Well, two of them at least. Still, the podiums clearly have the Final Jeopardy! logo present, which makes me curious as to what that's about. Because Jeopardy's budget permits it, while Wheel of Fortune's budget precludes it, because of all the prizes given? I was going to say "Because Wheel already switches between about 10 different sets every season." Reminds me of the "Stand Up & Win!" game show parody from Saturday Night Live: "She's fat, she's thin, she's fat, she's thin...come on, lady, pick a body and get it over with!"

Because the backdrop resembles the Parthenon, I call this the "Parthenon set" I agree on that one...I just finished looking at the photo, and it does resemble the Parthenon a bit. As to why they decided to do away with the sliding doors is beyond me...I always loved him coming out of those doors, especially on the Sushi Bar set.

They got rid of the sliding doors because they were no longer used, what with Trebek tearing his Achilles tendon and all.

Do they have a new music package or is it the same one used since Season 25?

It shall be a Battle of the Decades that defines Season 30. A season long affair that also includes some fan voting. No structure has been given as to how all of this will play out, but it'd probably be a good guess that it might go along the lines of the Celebrity Invitational.

So I guess that original S30 logo was just a beta. I kind of liked that one better, but the final one matches the set nicely.

I just found out on the Facebook page that they're still using 2008 theme and think music. I had a feeling the music would stay the same for two reasons: Wheel continued to use the 2006 theme and that rock guitar opening from 2007 when it celebrated its 30th anniversary, and they're gonna still use it for this coming 31st season; the Jeopardy! music package gets overhauled every 11-13 years.
I was kinda hoping they would revert back to the 2001-2008 theme and 1997-2008 think music; in my opinion, the 2008 theme and think music don't really fit (in fact the 2001 theme and 1997 think music would've fit the CES set perfectly). But oh well.
