Is it just me or did Prince William & Kate Middleton actually name their baby after Alex Trebek? To be honest, it does sound a bit weird to be naming a royal baby after an American game show host & I wonder how the JEOPARDY! Host is going to react by learning that the royal baby has the same birthday & the same name as him. Could it be possible that the royal couple are fans of America's Favorite Quiz Show?  |

...babies? They probably named the royal baby after another Alex, like Alexander the Great or the former czar of Russia. And everybody's a fan of Jeopardy.  |

No. The new baby is named George (for George VI) Alexander (could be a reference to HM Elizabeth II, one of her middle names is Alexandra) Louis (for Louis Mountbatten, 1st Earl of Burma).

Interestingly enough, Alex Trebek's real name is George Alexander Trebek. I agree with woowho, it's just a pure coincidence. The royal family probably have never heard of Alex Trebek to begin with. |
