Is it just me, or does the background currently have fat white stripes in it? I think something accidentally the background.

Looks like it didn't fully load on your end. The background graphic is a repeating image...it looks as if the bottom part of the image didn't load, resulting in the white bars you see.
It's on your end. Try performing a hard refresh and go from there.

Yeah, I had that problem when trying to access from my parents' house with the not-so-great connection. Doesn't interfere with anything else that I know of, it just looks odd.
