Season 31 is (almost) here! As we prepare to begin another season of Wheel of Fortune, we prepare to return to the normal state of affairs around here. Daily recaps will resume with the airing of the season premiere on September 16th, and with that, all of the discussion and debate that ensues. Will the Express prove to be a game-changer? Will there be continued response on the part of the show from last season's million dollar win? Will the Vegas shows this year prove better than the New York ones last season? Those answers, and more, to come. And, of course, with a new season comes an update to the look of our little neck of the woods. We always like to keep the site looking fresh, and what better way than with a remodel for the new season? Last year's site theme (or, rather, the one for the second half of Season 30) was a celebration of the show's history. This year, we're celebrating some of the various locales the show's visited over the years. We've worked hard on the new look, and we hope you all enjoy it. Here's to a great year!

Is there any way to make the spinning Wheel not so distractingly blurry in the BG?

It's supposed to be blurry because it's supposed to be spinning. I thought it looked better that way.

The new "monitor" forum indicators are fine, even if they remind me a little too much of the original WOFL design. As for the backdrop picture of the United States, I agree with Wayo that the spinning Wheel is distractingly blurry. Also, the map really accentuates just how little of the country Wheel's actually taped shows in...and no love for Alaska? This year, we're celebrating some of the various locales the show's visited over the years. We've worked hard on the new look, and we hope you all enjoy it. It looks like you took snapshots of Harry's vacation footage. Honestly, the new motif looks just like the show's generic set.

I DON'T LIKE CHANGE.
Actually, I think it looks really nice. I am appalled, however, that the show has never visited Helena, Montana. That's an outrage.
I don't think the spinning wheel is too much of a distractions since the wheel is mostly split as I read down the board.
EDIT: Just noticed the lit and non-lit thread indicators. I really like that. Nice touch.

Yeah the background kinda says that Wheel doesn't give a damn about the middle part of the country... minus Chicago and Denver Kinda shows a lack of creativity as far as traveling is concerned in 20+ years of taking the show on the road.

That, and they've completely ignored Alaska. The closest they've gotten is Portland.
...Maybe Wheel doesn't want to pass through Canada because the Canadians will know the show isn't going to ever do anything there?
(There's also Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands, both US territories.)
Put simply, the map magnifies just how little of America "America's Game" has gone to for tapings.

All right all right all right...let's make this less about the fact that the show seems to have ignored a large chunk of America (protip: there's really nothing there anyways, they're not missing much) and more about how awesome (or awful, if you think that) this new theme is.

I like it, guys -- it looks really good...no...awesome! Should take only little time to get used to it. Hats off to all involved in making the changes!

I like the changes the only things I'm still uneasy about is the banner.

Looks nice! The background reminds me of the map from the WOF 2 PC game by SOE. The wheel at the top, IMO, should be rotated 1 wedge to the right so that the million isn't obstructed by the Y, the Express isn't blocked by WHEEL OF, and the 1/2 car isn't behind the L. Plus, doing that hides the $300 beside the Express so the awkward side-by-side blue wedges aren't visible.

I don't think there's anything anyone can do about that half of the wheel. It's just really awkward all together.

...and people I know say I pay too close attention to details...you guys amaze me how you always have the eye for Wheel aesthetics! Nonetheless, I'm still very impressed with the update!

Once we see Express for real, I'll likely have to update the Wheel on the banner, so I'll probably rotate it then.

You can't spend any of that, so you need to spin the wheel.

If this season begins, and we find out that the Mystery Wedge on the blue $300 does not move, that will be the first time since season 26 that one of the Mystery Wedge is not next to the penalty space.
