Wheel and J! are moving to 8 News Now in Las Vegas next Monday, and they have a promo up for each show. What I find quite amusing about the Wheel promo is the layout they use...come on! We haven't seen some of those wedges in YEARS!  |

Yep, going all the way back to the earliest days of the program: wheelgenius.deviantart.com/art/Round-1-wheel-January-1975-176875375Looks like they used another one of wheelgenius' layouts, except the colors have been tweaked a bit and the Buy a Vowel space has been swapped out for a red $300 (probably Photoshopped a copy of that wedge from the other side of the wheel). These guys need to wise up and just call WG right off, he could probably use some extra cash and could show them a layout that's actually CURRENT. |

It kinda looks like the Wikipedia one, not sure though. Did it have the original Free Spin wedge on it like this one does?

I can tell that's the Wikipedia one. The colors are brighter on that one, while WG's colors are closer to the mostly duller colors the actual 70's Wheels had.

Funnily enough, the first part of the commercial suggests that 8 News Now will be showing some so-old-school-they-closed-it-down Wheel, especially since the music sounds like it's from the 1970s. /I wish they were //reminds me of when GSN promoted their acquisition of The Hollywood Squares///except not as cool since it's not old-school Wheel////although if you're going to be lazy about it, go with the old school  |
