This 4-page Washington Post article on the Vegas tapings gives a pretty major spoiler regarding a Bonus Round. The show even tweeted this link. I'm surprised they didn't tell the journalist to remove it or make it less revealing. It's a good read, though. Skip the first page to avoid the spoiler.

Adding my comments in a spoiler in case anyone doesn't want to know what the spoiler is from the article: Reading the spoiler in the article, the only reason I think they would keep it out there would be so that there's existing evidence of them putting a lot of thought into it when this airs. Inevitably, if it was close enough to stop the show for 7 minutes, there are going to be plenty of angry people who think the contestant solved in time, and this article might help them deal with that problem.

Very true. I didn't mind reading about that. I wonder if there's going to be an awkward jump cut when the episode airs, or if they'll follow precedent and go to commercial and then announce the final outcome during the closing.
I just think the article shouldn't have revealed the outcome and the prize.

The whole point of keeping it in, including the result, is to show Vanna's personality. I'm afraid how I'm annoyed I'm going to be at the BR in general, but that's for whenever it airs.

This is the show that spoiled the second $1,000,000 win well in advance. This surprises you? The article makes it sound like she actually did win, but Wheel opted to rule it a loss because of how much it was worth. As for the rest of the article ("day-time"?), here's a couple of things I noticed: You're seriously trying to tie the $1,000 consolation prize to the economic crisis? It was introduced in Season 23 which, if you don't know, was three years before said crisis! And here's a (compiled) quote from Harry Friedman: 1) No, yeah, it's predictable. 2) You've certainly lost sight of other things! 3) Rice-A-Roni might not be a comforting consolation prize anymore, but it'd be nice to get sponsors to award stuff along with the $1,000. ...Which would explain part of why the show's still popular. The quality's dropped, but it's part of the everyday routine. Then what was Wheel during the shopping era? And vanilla by itself can taste bland and flavorless...as it does these days.

About the Washington Post Article....I was interviewed for this article. Although my deeply insightful and witty comments about Vanna didn't make the cut, I can tell you that at my interview it was the reporter, me, and a Wheel publicity staff member. The Wheel staff member cautioned the reporter not to reference any outcomes when I was asked a certain question. It seemed to me by the reporter's response that she was aware of any legal/ secrecy requirements by WOF. I would think that any SPOILER in the article was approved by WOF.
Side note, I was not present for the spoiler incident in question, so I have nothing to offer there.

What did you say for the article (assuming it's safe to say here)? I was asked why I thought Wheel was so appealing. I said that it was a game you could play with the whole family and once kids were old enough to spell, they had a shot at solving the puzzle before their parents...as opposed to Jeopardy where life experience and education are a bigger gap to overcome. I was asked about what I thought of Vanna. I think I said that she seems nice and girl next door like. ( Unlike some other players have reported, Vanna did not stop by and see us before the show.) The other question I can remember had to do with the results of my show and my feelings about it.

So is the spoiler must be from New Year's week, I assume?

So is the spoiler must be from New Year's week, I assume? The article says August, and I received a tip that nothing of that nature happened during Valentine's Day week, so that means it was likely Taste of the Good Life. ...Where did Dandi go since her taping, anyway?
