jgizzy probably didn't notice he actually had time to correct himself, if he was composed enough to do so (although few seem to remember this rule).
When's the time last someone told you so-and-so place is just around the CORNO, complainers?

TU1: Themed! Joy. At this point, I've come to expect it. TU2: I'm meh on themed puzzles at this point, but I thought 2K was supposed to veer away from that? This is a touch worse, since RoA is ultimately a sponsor. Not happy to see this pop up, though still a good solve by Melissa.
R1: he WUZ ROBED OV 3 MILUHN DOLLAHZ!11!1!!11111!1
Seriously, what the heck? I don't see how this remotely turned controversial, he said gibberish, Pat said it would be checked, and it wasn't good. Not only that, he made a joke about his nerves to start the next round. Even PAUL knows he flubbed there, this wasn't Haley on MSQ. I don't get the mass hysteria. It honestly sounded like unintelligent garble, like that of a baby. Shame nerves hit, but that doesn't make that solution right. You know what though? I think there was a bigger flaw he made this round! The C on the non-paying (WHY!?) MDW. Waste of a good multiple.
Also surprised this wasn't Same Letter, it would have been better served as this. Guess that might have made too much sense.
R2: Great redemption by Paul, in not only the round, but the joke. Not many can say they'd do the same, going by a lot of tweets out there. Cooler part of this round was it ending in a 3 way tie going into/PP.
R3: Epic. I was hanging on my seat with Luis the whole time, thinking he wasn't going to pick a right letter or whatnot, but he played smart: Get the vowels first, then pick common letters. I get the impression that R3 puzzles will be shorter this season, in general, as to avoid big payouts on Express, can't risk that. First one-spin round (that wasn't a full speed up) since when, Burke? My only minor complaint about Express is that it needs a train horn or whistle, like the 1/2 Car has its horn. It also shouldn't be in a round with the PP, but that's not the fault of the Express wedge itself.
TU3: Luis has entered domination mode.
R4: See above. En fuego! R5: Wow, what a finish for Luis. More in-depth of the game itself, a full null cycle aired. Awesome!
BR: Nice solve, I was worried he'd be caught on what was seemingly Bobby's trap, PRECIOUS. Don't know if I'd have had it or not, since Twitter spoiled, when using the BAV account last night. Surprise win. And dang, that Camaro was loaded; I assume the price given includes the 5K? I don't think we've ever had the car landed on twice in a row to start a season before, either. One thing I didn't like, that the new auto sponsor gives away if the car was lost (though not won)-if a car is landed on in the BR, but lost, the sponsor gets a promo after R1. Very annoying.
Really solid show, to be honest, notably the riding/winning the Express for the 1st time, Paul's good sense of humor, and Luis' very impressive Wheel playing skills. Shame most of Twitter, Reddit, etc. want to focus, rather than really solid game play, on a faux tech win; Luke Stefangal has become game show dictator of the world, seemingly. 4/5.

Could Wheel have picked a creepier thumbnail for the video?
Great job by Luis. I thought he was crazy going for it so soon, but wow did it work out.
Awkward missolve and silence from Round 1. He just said it way to fast. He did say "Curio", just so fast that it sounds like something else. I don't know what a "Corno" is though. Luckily for Wheel, that was quickly overshadowed by MSQ and Haley an hour and a half to two hours later.
(Off-topic, I'm of the opinion that Haley didn't answer in time.)

More comments. Nobody realizes he said "CORNO" and not "CORNER". -_-

"Instead of millions..." "Give him another shot!" Oh, sure! Why don't we have Wheel invite back the "PICTURE-SKAY" lady and the "PRISTINELLY" lady while we're at it? I'm done... (Though at least they used HD video and that fanmade Wheel graphic looked kind of cool...)

I don't quite see what the big fuss about Paul's missolve was all about- personally, I thought he pronounced CURIO just fine, but the decision should stand because he also mispronounced CORNER (maybe they're complaining that they didn't give Paul a chance to correct himself). Also, he would've lost the match to Luis anyway.

I CANNOT believe all the stupid "controversy" surrounding this crap. CORNO CURRO CABNET is not nearly the same thing as CORNER CURIO CABINET.

^ Use Imgur for GIFs. TVTropes people, what trope would all this "He would have won $1M" fall under? Hate Dumb? Fan Dumb? Fandom Berserk Button?

^ YMMV itself isn't a trope. It's a tab where subjective tropes like Fan Dumb go.

From idiots who think calling a correct letter on the MDW actually awards $1,000,000 per occurence.
