I love how when the show gets attention it's always being ridiculed by people and shows, yet big positive moments don't get talked about as much.
Also, I think they should have the Jackpot's fireworks go off behind the Express score after a successful solve.

All right, all right, all right...can we go back to talking about the episode and not about people on the Internets? Please?

I'm going to label the second Toss-Up a Daplug Puzzle. I'll just ignore Round 1 and say Round 3 was awesome. Since only the mention of the car having a $5,000 bonus has been removed (isn't that disingenuous?), our players took $31,500 cash from Friedman's pocketbook, an increase of $13,850 from last night! Your optimal Bonus Round strategy for September 17, 2013:* The consonants are easy, but the vowel...notsomuch -- I'll go with PVCO([any]) since the O is a bit more helpful than U. In the battle of CDMA versus BGHO, tonight's winner is the "Super Mario(GS)" BPYO with four letters versus CDMA's three, BGHO's two, the "take a third option" FGHI's one, the "Scott be trollin' combo" WKYI's one, the "Prizes be trollin' combo" DICK's three, and the "CU be trollin' combo" FUCK's less-helpful-than-BPYO four. Oh, sure! Why don't we have Wheel invite back the "PICTURE-SKAY" lady and the "PRISTINELLY" lady while we're at it? SSSSSSSSSSSSSSSMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK /seriously, anyone who says "HE WUZ RAHB'D" and brings up SWIMMIN' needs to go forward a day from the latter //someone find me a clip of that missolve-ruled-right so I can shut everybody up ///please [EDIT 9/21/13 to add my thoughts on this episode...and, some hours later, I found the frickin' SMOKE incident.]

...Except Fallon still doesn't get that you don't win the million dollars just by picking up the MDW and solving ala the $10K! -_-
Paul should have called him out on that.

This is the most ridiculous non-controversy I've ever heard of.
Oh, and I think TV Tropes would classify this under "Cowboy Bebop At His Computer". (I haven't read that site and months and I still remember trope names... :X )

I just watched this on Wayoshi's youtube, I must say, I love the Express round I like the build of excitement as the puzzle fills up, and also I love the Bonus Round style picture in picture it has with the contestant and puzzle board. I also don't understand all the hooplah about Round 1, he obviously mispronounced that! All in all, great episode.

Why, this was a juxtaposed episode... TUs: Good job to Luis getting 2/3. R1: I'm surprised this wasn't Same Letter. And boy, did Paul sure mess up big time here...and for anyone who reads this recap, he did not lose a million dollars, he only lost the wedge. R2: Nice redemption for Paul, but we've got a three-way tie... R3: ...and Luis breaks it with an EPIC Express win here! Nice job! Luis was a good player this maingame; too bad for Melissa and Paul not having much luck. And I'm very surprised no penalty spaces were landed on back-to-back so far. BR: Very nice car win by Luis! My rating: Low 8 out of 10 (despite Paul's pronunciation gaffe)

Tossups: Nice of them to a put a Broadway-styled show that's currently a part of The Venetian.
R1: Horrible pronunciation gaffe by Paul. No wonder this mistake went viral.
R2: Somewhat of a good redemption by Paul...
R3: ...but this is a TEXTBOOK Express Playing by Luis! He really dominated the competition this night!
BR: I got it w/ RSTLNE and great playing by Luis! He deserved to win that Camaro!
MY EP. RATING: 8 out of 10

Just watched this episode on GSN. Epic R1---I can see this puzzle easily being used in a clip show in the future. I think Paul's been putting a little something special in his homemade brew.
Great R3 and speed-up round solves from Luis!

I'm pretty sure Wheel would rather forget R1 ever existed, even if they did include it in their lease of Season 31 to GSN. I bet Harry Friedman and Wheel's PR were facepalming at their desks all day at every headline that kept popping up.
This week and College Week with the other "OMG HE LOST A MILLION DOLLARS" missolve weren't included in the 2014 summer reruns. Some episodes from these weeks reran on Saturdays in the 2014-15 season, but not those particular two.

^Yeah, they were facepalming due to the "casual viewers" who have NO clue how the million dollar wedge works.
