If something seemed a little odd about that Bonus Round, you're not alone: Dean clearly begins the answer just after the buzzer begins to play, but Pat pressures them for a ruling (apparently not wanting to use up the last commercial break)...and they give Dean -- who had already swept the game for over $36,000 -- the $37,000+ car based on something like five seconds of deliberation. Dafuq? |

I'm sorry, but that looks like he did that on purpose to make it look like he pulled it out of thin air. He probably knew it all along.

I don't know, I think that was genuine. JANE EYRE is a tough one to get, even with as many letters as he had. Plus, with E - R E, you're probably not thinking of a word that is pronounced like "air."

Buzzer calls don't seem to be a fine art. On one of the NYC episodes from November 1998, a lady clearly solved BROADWAY after the buzzer, but they still gave it to her right away.

And don't forget the PISTACHIO solve from 1996. That guy clearly did not say it until about a tenth of a second after the second buzz started, but the audience cheered and they didn't reach a verdict until after the commercial (win).

Here's a good question -- we've seen clear losses ruled as wins, both in the front game and Bonus Round, but has a clear win ever been ruled as a loss?
