I really needed the laugh, WarioSajak, so thank you! Sure thing, Gretchen.  Fun aside, my suggestion remains a genuine one -- we even had a topic listing some really bad Prize Puzzles back in March 2012. (And yes, every single one of those was an actual puzzle Wheel has used.) Worth a laugh for such royal steaming stinkers as "DISCOVERING MY FAVORITE MARGARITA", "DON'T FORGET TO WEAR FLOWERS IN YOUR HAIR", and (during a Teen Week) "TOTALLY AWESOME WATER PARK". (Mods: We really should Sticky that topic and add to it (ADMIN NOTE: No we shouldn't.) -- the past 19 months have produced quite a few more of those "gems", including "THERE'S NO PLACE LIKE IT IN THE WORLD", "ESCAPING FROM ALL THE HUSTLE AND BUSTLE", "AUTHENTIC MARIACHI BAND", and that instance back on April 18 where they actually put "STUNNING SURROUNDINGS" as a Phrase.) There's another suggestion that comes to mind, Gretchen, and this may help alleviate some nervousness: remember that when you're taping your episode, you're not playing Wheel in front of millions -- you're playing to an audience of about 200, counting staff and crew. Granted, it'll probably feel like less because Culver City audiences don't tend to be all that responsive, but still.  |

It took almost TWO FULL YEARS for me to get a taping date. My dad and I auditioned in early November 2011 and received our letter just before Thanksgiving. We didn't tape until September 19, 2013 and the episode is finally airing TONIGHT! Of course, being a family week episode, it took longer for us to get a taping date since they don't tape those as often. GOOD LUCK! |
