The polling results came back, and you guys asked for it, so here it is, a Woolery episode of Wheel of Fortune.
WHEEL! OF! FORTUNE! (I know the chant didn't come until 1983, but I'm putting it in anyway)
Charlie: “Look at these luxurious prizes, fabulous merchandise, just waiting to be won today on Wheeeeeeeeeel of Fortune! A beautiful gold coin bracelet! Dining room furniture! A bumper pool table! Total retail value, over $37,000 dollars! And now here's your host, Chuck Woolery!”
Chuck introduces Susan. He comments on how hot the neon blue of her dress is and says “If blue was any hotter, it'd be on fire.”
Introductions:
Gwen Taylor - One day total of $5500 dollars.
Bryan ?? - Originally from Omaha, Nebraska. A tennis pro and enjoys car-tuning. He is part of a club at Newport Beach.
Anita Miller - Substitute high school teacher, married and a mother of two.
Game Spiel:
Chuck: “Top dollar value on the wheel for the first round $500 dollars, but look out for this black space bankrupt because if you hit it, you lose all your cash, but not your merchandise because once you buy a prize, it's yours to keep. Remember, when you solve the puzzle you got to solve it just like it's revealed on this puzzleboard.”

PHRASE
Gwen won the draw backstage, and that means the first spin is awarded to her.
SPIN 1- Gwen spins, and the first spin of the round lands on the big one. $500 dollars! She asks for a T, and she'll get one of them. $500 dollars.
SPIN 2- She spins and this time she lands on a slightly lower amount, $150 dollars. She wants an S, but Chuck can't give it to her, no S. It's Bryan's turn.
SPIN 3- Bryan's first spin of the day will land on $200 dollars. He calls an N as in Nancy (Jones), and gets one worth $200 bucks.
SPIN 4- Bryan's spin goes past one $500 dollar space, and doesn't have enough to get to the next one, so he'll land on the red $300 in the middle of the two.
He wants a D, he'll get one of them. $500 dollars total. Bryan buys a vowel. He buys an A. There are two A's. That cuts his total in half leaving him with $250.
SPIN 5- Bryan spins it again and lands on the tan $200. This time he's hoping to find an R. He'll find four of them! $1050 dollars!
SPIN 6- One consonant left, Bryan will spin it. He stops at the red $400. He calls an L, and that's the last consonant. $1450 dollars.
BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP
Only vowels left. Bryan will solve the puzzle.

Bryan will spend those winnings in the Family Room. To start, for $749, he buys the Grandfather Clock. $701 remains. For $595 he gets that bumper pool table described in the intro. $106 dollars to go. For $93, he'll get the dart board and darts. That leaves $13 dollars for a Giorgio gift certificate. And it also leaves some prizes for Charles to describe.

QUOTATION
Wow, what a puzzle. Bryan won the last round, and he'll also get to start this round.
SPINS 1-3 Are all Bankrupts by Bryan, Anita, and Gwen in that order.
Chuck jokes after the 3rd spin by saying “Welcome back to Wheel of Fortune. Top dollar value is... might as well start all over again!”
SPIN 4 – The streak of penalty wedges continues as Bryan lands on the Lose a Turn.
Chuck comments by saying that they should try to get three Lose a Turns in a row now. And Anita tries to hush Chuck and tells him not to say that.
SPIN 5 – Anita is coming up on the Lose a Turn, but she won't be close to it, as she'll land on the $700 dollars two spaces before Lose a Turn. She looks at the wrong flipper and thinks she landed on Lose a Turn, then Chuck tells her she's looking at the wrong arrow. She calls a T, but hilariously, there is no T! She might as well of landed on Lose a Turn. Back to Gwen.
SPIN 6 – Gwen spins, but the curse won't break, she lands on Bankrupt! Back to where we started, Bryan's turn.
SPIN 7- Bryan lands on $400 dollars, and the audience breaks out in applause. He calls an N, and after seven spins, that's the first letter uncovered in the puzzle this round. Two N's. $800 dollars.
SPIN 8- Bryan is coming up on the big blue $1000 dollars, will he land on it? Yes, he will! $1000 dollars! He wants a D, and his call will be answered with one ding. $1800 dollars. Bryan buys an A. 3 A's will cost him $250, and he has $1550 left.
SPIN 9- Bryan is coming up on Lose a Turn, will it stick to the $800 right before it? The peg flips one more time to land on Lose a Turn. That means it's Anita's turn.
SPIN 10- Anita lands on $300 and calls an L. Her luck will continue to be as bad as everyone else this round because there's not a single L. Gwen's spin.
SPIN 11- Gwen lands on the tan $600 two spaces before Bankrupt. She calls a P, but in true fashion this round, there's none. Bryan's turn.
Bryan will buy a vowel. He wants an E, and will be pleasantly surprised that there are four of them. That takes him down to $1300 dollars.
SPIN 12- Bryan lands on the tan $600 this time. He'll call an S. He uncovers three S's! An extra $1800 brings him to $3100 dollars!

We're back, and Bryan will pick up where he left off and spin that wheel!
SPIN 13 – Bryan spins and goes past the Bankrupt, coming up on $650 but the peg flips one more to land on the tan $300. He wants a V as in Victor, more like V as in Victorious, because there's one V! $3400 dollars now. Bryan will call out a vowel. An I this time. .... No I's to speak of. He's down to $3150, and we're over to Anita.
SPIN 14- Anita has the best luck of anyone out on stage, she lands on the Bankrupt for the hundredth time. Gwen will have a crack at the wheel now.
SPIN 15- ...... And Gwen will find herself in no better position as she also hits Bankrupt! (I can't recall a round where there's been more Bankrupts.) Her turn goes to Bryan.
Bryan will try that vowel thing again, he buys an O. And shockingly, there are three of them. Bryan now has $2900 dollars.
SPIN 16- Bryan will spin. He lands on $150 and calls an R. There are three R's. $3350 altogether for Bryan.
SPIN 17- He just passes the $1000 to land on $150 on the other side of it. He calls a Y. One Y. That's $3500 dollars.
There is some deliberation, Bryan wants to solve it but in an Edd Brynes style coercion, Chuck asks Bryan to look over at the prizes and see if there's anything he would want to buy. Bryan seems to be going to spin, when Chuck says he wouldn't want him to spin just because he told him to. Then Bryan once again says he'll solve it.
