And the first puzzle is very large. Numbers were drawn backstage, and Wayne won that draw, so he'll spin first.
SPIN 1 – Wayne's first spin is going to brush up against that pink $1000 dollars but stick on the peg before it, which gives him the yellow $500 for his first spin. He calls an N, and he gets a $500 dollar N.
SPIN 2 – Wayne spins it again and comes close to hitting a Bankrupt, but lands on the yellow $750 just before it and this time he wants a T. He'll find One, Two, Three.... Four T's! $3000 dollars more for a total of $3500 dollars. Wayne will spend $250 of that to buy an E. Three E's. $3250 still sitting in front of Wayne.
SPIN 3 – This time it's going to be another good value. $900 dollars. Wayne calls an R, and there is one. That will add $900 to his score bringing him to an impressive Round 1 amount of $4150 dollars. Wayne will call out a U. Odd call for a second vowel, but there are 2 of them. He is deducted $250 from his score for those, bringing him down to $3900 dollars. He's not done yet though, he'll buy another vowel. This time it's going to be an O. And another duo of letters will appear. Wayne has $3650 dollars.
SPIN 4 – The Surprise is coming up, Wayne tells the wheel to keep going, and it does keep going and lands right in the middle of that Surprise! He calls a Y, and one Y allows him to pick the Surprise up off the wheel. He now has $3650 + Surprise.
SPIN 5 – That one thousand is coming up, Wayne tells it to keep going, but it fall just short this time and land on $500 dollars. He calls an S and gets one to recoup his losses from buying those vowels. $4150 + Surprise. He buys a vowel. An A is what he's looking for, and he'll find four of them! $3900 remains and the Surprise as well. Most of the puzzle is filled in, but Wayne doesn't seem to know it.
SPIN 6 – Oh no, not now, that dreaded black space is coming up..... and Wayne lands smack in the middle of it. He loses $3900 dollars and the Surprise as well. Wow, what a painful bankrupt. The turn goes to Lesley.
SPIN 7 – Lesley will land on the $500 right before the thousand. After a pause, she blurts out a B. And she will get one B. $500 dollars.
SPIN 8 – This time it's going to be $700. After a short pause, she says M, but there are no M's. Down to Jack.
SPIN 9 – Jack will just get past that Lose a Turn and land on the red $450 adjacent to it. He calls an H, and finds a pair. $900 dollars for Jack. Only one consonant left, and he knows it, but spins for some more money.
SPIN 10 – Jack makes a full rotation around the wheel and finds himself on the red $450 again. He calls the W, and that reveals the puzzle in it's entirety. Jack has a total of $1350 dollars, all he has to do it read it.
