Are you allowed to solve the puzzle as soon as the round begins, or do you have to spin on the first turn?

I've wondered this too. In the most recent video game adaptation, you've had to spin at least once and find a letter before solving the puzzle. I don't know if this translates to the actual game, but it might because the rules in the video game are very similar to the rules of the actual game. However, we have no way of finding out if you can solve right off the bat or not due to the fact that no one has tried it (And probably nobody ever will).

we have no way of finding out if you can solve right off the bat or not due to the fact that no one has tried it (And probably nobody ever will). ...I don't think we can definitively say this, though -- the available records are spotty in a lot of places, including most of the daytime run (out of 4,215 episodes and three pilots, there's about 95 around in full* and clips from about 15 or so more) and nearly all of Seasons 3-4, among other things. (*Yes, I counted it.  ) |
