I like 5- and 6-rounders, especially those with extra time before the Final Spin. But today I heard of a Round SEVEN in season 23. Can you believe that? I wonder why we get so much time. Does anyone have the link to the 9/22/2005 episode (with the R7)?

The time all depends on how long it takes for at least the first three rounds to be solved. If those rounds go overtime, then R4 has to start with the Final Spin. Sometimes if they go too overtime, they have to sacrifice other things like cutting lost turns outside of null cycles, banter between Pat and contestants, shortening prize copies, and cutting the retro Bonus Round if there is one.
There are other factors that can take up time, too, like guest appearances, plugs during sponsored weeks, and extra interviews during team weeks. The Disney Cruise Line week had so much Disney promo that every episode had a full R4 Speed-Up.

Thanks. Now for the R7 episode (9/22/05)...anyone have a recap or copy of it? I did find all the puzzles.

Unfortunately, no. A site called Game Show News Net does have abridged recaps of shows from S23, but of all shows, the 9/22/05 one is a duplicate of 9/21 due to a copy-paste error, it seems.
