Just a few hours ago, I read a message from YouTube user, dasgluecksrad, about SAT1IHRPRIVAPROGRAMM, who had a whole bunch of cool antique stuff from the German channel SAT.1. This bunch included some 1988 clips of Germany's version of Wheel. The third clip shows the 1988 Wheel in action, and I got to warn you the Wheel spins LOUDLY! Even so, I cannot even begin to tell you how excited I am to see all of this!
Here's an episode - the 210th if I'm not mistaken. The Wheel still has black letters and numbers but spins much more quietly.
Here's one more find.
The Wheel layout is the same as the 1989 round 3 Wheel only with all the three-digit values divided by ten. The 1500, 2000, and 5000 spaces have been dividen by 100. The 1000 space however, is decreased by ten. The person who made the model did a swell job. It looks very authentic!

Here's a parody of Deutsch Wheel played on the Deutsch equivalent of David Letterman in January 2004. Seven and a half years ago, I saw pictures of this on a German Wheel fansite. Using those pictures, I made this. www.fanart-central.net/pictures/user/germanname/575808/Glucksrad-SAT1 Although I was never certain until now, I figured that the yellow spaces was a Bankrupt space.

Merry Christmas, everyone! How about another episode of KinderGlücksrad? Why should you watch it? The Wheel layout is different. Very different... Too different. ^_^; The Wheel seems to offer points instead of marks. Vowels cost 3 points and solvers have an Aussie-style pick your prize albeit with envelopes.

Here's an episode from April 18, 2002, with former letter turner Maren Gilzer as a contestant. If anyone wants to know the layouts, please let me know. The font used is Alte DIN 1451 Mittelschrift. The yellow wedge barely seen at 22:25 is most likely Vokal, perhaps a Free Vowel wedge; the font for that wedge looks bolder and may probably even be a different font such as Arial Black or Helvetica Black.

Here are the layouts on Excel; I am not posting this to DeviantArt, because I did this sort of thing eight years ago, and they got removed. Instead I'll post it here as well as a shot of the Vokal wedge. Now before anyone asks me for a better shot of the Vokal wedge, I am sorry to say that this is the best I have.

Late to the party, but points is standard Australia and Europe where under 16s can't win cash.

Got some news folks. RTL Plus is bringing back four classic game shows in Germany: Ruck Zuck (Hot Streak), Familien Duell (Family Feud), Jeopardy! (You all know how to translate that.), and, yes, Das Glücksrad (The Wheel of Fortune)! I loved it when Frederick Meisner hosted the elder version of German Wheel. He ranks among my favorite of international Wheel hosts. Hopefully, he'll be hosting the revival when it airs in September. Oh, and before I forget, yes, I have a source. Sorry it's in German, but special thanks to SmashWhammy for telling me about this. www.rtlplus.de/cms/empfangen.html

Here's a 2002 clip that gives a better view of that Vokal wedge. I'm still unsure of how it works since I don't think it was landed on.

And has to be said (An aged point probably), I can't think of any other Wheel incarnations that kept shopping into the 21st century, good excuse for product placement if anything.

I have some information about the Super Speil from 8:40 in this video.
Here it is translated in English.
The candidates play together. It's about the sum of all amounts he turned. If the crossword puzzle is solved, gets each candidate one-third of the total. Payment is made in gold or Bergeld.
Puzzle: Crossword of four different areas
Characters Default: five consonants and a vowel
Duration: 90 seconds
The three candidates take turns off after 30 seconds. Each candidate has only 30 seconds each time. Only the candidate is in the 30 seconds too so can tell solutions.
So, here's what I'm getting based off of that.
The amount being played for in this round is determined by the sum of what all three players have spun up during the main game. So it's something similar to the Jackpot round from 1996 to 2013 on the American version (where the dollar amount spun up is added to the Jackpot) only on steroids. I've always wanted to figure out how the amount is determined. So, I'm very happy to know at long last. Even so, I wonder if the amount is divided equally or not.
The puzzle is made of four (sometimes five on some if not most episodes) words arranged in a crossword-like fashion.
After all the letters are put up (two consonants by each of the first two players and one consonant and one vowel by the third), all three players must solve all the words within 90 seconds, 30 for each player. Although the current player's answer is allowed, I have seen episodes and clips where the other two contestants are allowed to help the current player.

Here's a little taste of what the new German Wheel is going to look like. It's not going to have the same rainbowish scheme that it used to have, but it's going to have a nice mix of pink, purple, and blue. The looks and sounds will be similar to Slovakia's current version.

That's definitely an interesting color scheme. Really interested to see how their Jeopardy set looks

Another trailer has surfaced, and it looks like the Wheel will change at least the top euro value.

Another trailer, and it looks like the Joker can be placed on any 50-euro space.

Episode 37 of the original version is home to some interesting overhead Wheel shots as well as a rare occurrence of something. I don't want to spoil what that something is, but it happens during Round 3.
