I was looking at a couple of Friday Finals recaps from the 1996-1997 and noticed, for the exception of some, quite a few big maingame wins ($54,000+, $39,534, $44,650 to name a couple) due to the fact that the Wheel Prizes and Surprises were pretty expensive.
Would the Wheel Prize and Surprise budget be upped for the Friday Finals episodes? |

Despite having recapped a couple of those, I can't say for certain, though others who have done more research than I (Bobby? Dan?) may know.
I do know that they raised the Jackpot starting amount to $10,000 for the Friday Finals episodes, so make of that what you will. I wouldn't be surprised if they did indeed have a higher prize budget for those shows.

Also, didn't they have an extra prize for the winner of the Finals, if they won the bonus round (ON TOP OF whatever prize they selected from the envelopes)?
