Well, this is interesting. A 1991 Bob Goen episode has surfaced online courtesy of the man on the blue team. Judging by Charlie's "some contestants will receive" plug at the end, this was likely a Mother's Day week with teams of mothers and their son/daughter. Can anyone spot any references to what day of the week this might be? Note that there is a LOT of flickering due to the age of the tape, and it does not start until the blue team's interview due to being joined in progress by an NBC News special report. There are some good shots of the car turntable during the Bonus Round segment, which shows that the $400 next to $950 was actually yellow-orange, not yellow as previously believed. vimeo.com/83942645

Interesting that the Goen era had a "teams" week -- the most recent "teams" week I'm aware of in daytime is Couples Week in February 1986.
To my knowledge, there's no record of any traders having this episode. Regardless, comments: * I'm pretty sure the mothers were given a rose at some point before the player interviews, since I can definitely see one on the railing with the yellow team. That, combined with Charlie's announcement of the gift all mothers on "this special week" receive, indicate that this is most likely the week before Mother's Day. * There's no reference to the Friday Finals, although that may have been in the portion NBC didn't air that day. Based on Bob's comment just before Round 1 ("Are there any other people we have to introduce before we can start this game?") and another while talking to the third-place team (something like "Runner-Up Monday"), this is probably Monday. If so, it's May 6, 1991. * Bob doesn't do the opening spin, although that may be because of said player interviews. The Bonus Round chevrons do have their lights, though, so even if my date guess is wrong it's definitely after April 16. It was a bit weird not seeing a flashing chyron when the Round 1 Prize was picked up, though. * ...Dafuq was that Round 3 puzzle?
There's a promo right after the show for something airing "tonight", but it gets cut off early enough that I'm not sure what it's for. TV Tango indicates that Cry in the Wild: The Taking of Peggy Ann aired the night of May 6, 1991 (as a debut on NBC Monday Night Movies), so that might be it.
