I figured since there are so many threads on this forum asking questions, wouldn't it be nice to try to condense it in one thread? People can ask questions in this thread, and receive answers to those questions from either me, or one of our many knowledgeable members. The point of the thread is to also stop potential repeat question threads as well.
I will get the ball rolling her though, with a question which I have always wanted to know the answer to.
If you are to use the Wild Card on the Free Play, and you call a vowel, consonant or try to solve the puzzle and it's wrong, would your action be "Free" like your first action, or would you be penalized?

We actually had a long questions thread before. It was locked because things got lost and off-topic.
As regards this particular question, I don't know if they would necessarily allow WC on Free Play. Even if they did, I think it would be consonant-only for $500 and not protected by the Free Play.

Even if they did, I think it would be consonant-only for $500 and not protected by the Free Play. Indeed it is. The Wild Card can be used after a Free Play (any option), but only for a $500 consonant with the usual penalty if it's not there. The "Rules" section of the WOF Wii game mention this specifically.

This rule also allows a very strange possibility of using the WC after calling a wrong letter.
