Yes, the Million-Dollar version that got just 25 episodes and never gave away said Million managed to squeeze in a Celebrity Week before getting canned -- and according to the uploader, it was also the final week. The below is from an episode with Bert Newton:
(Per the video title, this is a "teaser" by the uploader -- the full episode will be put up next month.)

As an Australian, I honestly am perplexed as to why this got axed within 2 months of airing, and yet The Price is Right from 2012, which gave away the same prizes constantly, had a pre-dominant female-to-male ratio, a crap announcer, and just an air of overall cheapness. This definitely wasn't bad by any stretch of the imagination. Tim Campbell was a bit blokey, but he was alright. The only reason why it was axed is because it was put up against a ratings powerhouse (at the time) in Deal or No Deal, which ironically now is being beaten almost nightly by Millionaire Hot Seat.

Yeah, five weeks versus seven months really isn't fair, especially since Price was the bigger example of being dumb and cheap. Tried watching the latter, but Larry Emdur was really the only element that hadn't been botched. Million-Dollar Wheel and Price 2012 do have something in common, though -- they both have a distinct "final season" feeling about them, much like the 1980s Split Second and 2003 Shop 'Til You Drop revamp here in the States. That said, I think Million-Dollar Wheel of Fortune kinda failed so far as the Million's concerned: * As if the Million-Dollar Wedge wasn't hard enough to get and keep normally, it was only available in Round 1, a flaw the American version fixed. * If the "regular" $200,000 prize wasn't won in the Bonus Round, another wedge was put on the Golden Wheel every day until won. * From what I've read, if the Million-Dollar Wedge was taken to the Bonus Round it only replaced one $200,000 wedge. ...Which suggests that Wheel wanted almost-zero chance of giving away the Million but ever-increasing odds of awarding the $200,000.

Bumping because the full episode's been posted, more specifically the second-to-last show (6/26/08): Livinia Nixon/Bert Newton/Dawn Fraser.
Maybe it's just me, but you'd think they'd have a minimum for the charities or do something to separate these shows from the normal ones other than "Hey, celebs playing for charity!"

Umm, yes he is. The announcer at the top of the show said, "And now, here's Tim Campbell and Kelly Landry!"

Better than Wanna Bet? where if I recall correctly, only the celebrity who finished with the most money got to donate it to their charity.
