I heard about season 28 thanks to some news over at Game Show Forum (I'm currently not a member there).

However, I also some sad news about it. If you thought retiring the $25,000 sign was somber enough, the bonus round will offer this iconic cash prize no longer. The lowest amount has been increased to $30,000.
