Welcome all, to the Valentines Day Recap. And I have decided to commemorate Valentine's Day with a Couples Week recap from November of 1983.
This is also my 40th recap here, and for milestones I do episodes which have something that catches my eye as interesting or unique with the game, contestants or the date on which the episode aired. This an episode that has a few interesting things of note, which most fans of the show will know about. And if you don't know about it, then you will know about it after you read the recap. Enjoy!
WHEEL! OF! FORTUNE!
Jack: “Look at this studio, filled with glamorous prizes, fabulous and exciting merchandise! Including: This fantastic $16,000 dollar old-fashioned dining room! A gorgeous $4,700 dollar diamond heart necklace. And this beauty: A $9,600 dollar six passenger speedboat! Over $53,000 dollars just waiting to be won today as we continue Couples Week on Wheel of Fortune! And now, here's your host, Pat Sajak!”
Introductions:
Pat tells us that the top three couples of the week get to return on Friday to play for a 1984 American luxury car.

Game Spiel:
“$750 dollars, top dollar value for this round, try not to hit bankrupt, if you do, you lose your cash but not your merchandise, because once you buy a prize, it's yours to keep.”
