Okay, so my family has recently started having family game nights, so I am considering getting a Wheel board game. The only one I've ever had was the Tyco one from the early 90s. So, I want to know--which version (old or new), in your opinion, is the best? Thanks!

I'd go with the 1986 Deluxe version because of the add-on wedges. You could even technically print out your own layouts and wedges to use since the game's layout is removable.

Yeah, either of Pressman's 1980s Deluxe Editions would be your best bet. The downside is that there's no Prize wedges, but it's great if you want pure, undiluted Wheel action. Just make sure you get one that has the add-on wedges -- one of the ones I got second-hand had no plastic wedge pieces and the stickers for them were put directly on the Wheel. I recommend you stay away from the 1999 Parker Brothers game, though -- the Wheel's pathetically small (not just in size, but also in shape and the fact it has just 12 wedges), and the puzzle board's legs snap on in this odd zigzag way that I found difficult to remove without breaking the "tab" that faced the other direction. On the other hand, if you want a blast from the distant past, pick up either of the 1975 games by Milton Bradley. The only real downside is that you have to put in the puzzles one letter at a time, plus you can't buy vowels unless you land on the Buy A Vowel wedge.
