What can I say? I thought yesterday was pretty bad, but this was an even worse display of bad luck and incompetent solving ability.
TGIF
EDIT: Oh wait, yes... I lost it so hard at $6849... what an embarrassing error to leave in. That's exactly half of 13698, so I think my suspicion - these family trips were all for 4 people - was kinda confirmed here, in any case.

So they're effectively offering two trips, then. I guess that's reasonable, given the fact that both people may not be able to take the same trip at the same time...not to mention they probably want to take someone else along, too.

Overall this whole week gets a 6 from me, it was just too average. And the episode gets a 6 as well. All I gotta say.

Ugh. The only time that that $16,000 trip is picked up, it gets lost to Bankrupt.

IKR? Totally messed up! TBH I actually hoped NO ONE would pick it up because it would've been too much of a risk...wow.
(And don't forget they also lost the MDW...)

Ugh. The only time that that $16,000 trip is picked up, it gets lost to Bankrupt. This was a GOOD thing. The PP already ruined the maingame enough this week. Also, the week being average is too kind a statement - I would say considerably below average.

Thanks to Mario for recapping for me. I went to a concert last night so I didn't have time.
Sloppy game. I didn't catch the PP error, but I caught the missing overhead shot in R1.
I actually got the BR right after the timer started, surprisingly.

Wow...one of the few episodes I finally got to watch in the same night, and I wish it could have gone better for everyone. Nearly knocking the twins off their podium was quite the sight as well as some of the other facial expressions. I got the BR with just a few seconds left. Too bad that WC couldn't help Rico and Enrique.

Oh and TBH I'm starting to lose hope of a grand prize win this season. I don't even think they have that card in the Wheel, rather they only use the One Million envelope for you know what.

I think it's just a major, major statistical fluke. Remember that last season, we had a $1,000,000 and a $100,000 only a couple weeks apart, so law of averages and all that. (Also, we all know that I'm gonna get the call any day now, go on, and win the million myself. )

MarioGS, I love your style for the recaps! Of coursed, I'm not saying that tenpoundhammer does it bad, simply I'm surprised. What does mean the "*" following the scores? It seems that the trend of winning $30K in all BRs has been broken... That's good. Let's see if we could see a $100K winner before the end of the season, we have two and half months yet.

TBH I wish mechamind was the recapper, but Mario and TPH are really good.

I love how every recapper on this forum has their own style. Mine takes a long time to do, but I'm always pleased with the result. The asterisk next to a player's cash score means that player has at least one extra wedge or token in possession at that point.

Just like mechamind has a plus sign for that. I have a notes section at the end of each line for everything additional that needs to be accounted for. A question for the admins, Will any of the recappers currently active in the Retro Section get a chance to recap one of the modern episodes? Like a grab-bag week or something where five different recappers get assigned a day from Monday to Friday and each get to do a recap?

That's what I've always been asking for...but the best way is to probably PM TPH or Mario.

A question for the admins, Will any of the recappers currently active in the Retro Section get a chance to recap one of the modern episodes? Like a grab-bag week or something where five different recappers get assigned a day from Monday to Friday and each get to do a recap? No. We did the whole rotating-recapper thing in the past. It was a disaster. Consistency is a good thing. Additionally, with the way this section is set up, to add more recappers would involve extending permissions to more and more people, and we don't give them to just anyone. I'm sure there are plenty of people that are able to recap, but for the time being, Bobby is our first-run recapper. On the occasion that he needs a night off, Mario fills in. If the need ever arises where Bobby is unable to continue recapping on a permanent basis, then- and only then- we'll talk.

Thanks. I love how every recapper on this forum has their own style. I understand that creativity is valued, but is this really a good thing? Couldn't we come up with a standard for recaps combining the best elements of all to have an official style? This would help in searching and consistency going forward so that people aren't using different symbols. It would also define what is truly valuable to note in a recap and what doesn't matter. I think it's just a major, major statistical fluke. How major? The odds of not hitting it at least once after 130 episodes this season is just 0.4%.
