This is the 22nd-Anniversary State Challenge, on Australia's favourite game, Wheel of Fortune!
We welcome three contestants from New South Wales for Heat 3, and each contestant plays for their own home viewer!
Somebody could also win a new Renault Clio Expression!
Home viewers can also share from a total of $150,000 in cash just for watching!
Today's contestants:
Nicole Scicluna
Emma Jervis
Jaydan Wildes
Your score to beat is 4,310 by Angela.
The top-dollar value on the Wheel is 750, and here's our first puzzle:
Emma solves PEDESTRIAN CROSSING.
She gets to the other side for Digitrex multifunctional DVD player, and she brings her home partner for $500 cash.
Have you thought about it in advance? The Mystery Round has two wedges, one of which hides a BANKRUPT, and the other hides a 6-day Singapore holiday.
The top-dollar value on the Wheel is upgraded to 1,500.
Jaydan solves ? BEAN ? QUARTET ? BIKINI. No catch - he can increase his score by 200 just by filling in the blank!
He's correct with the word string.
Even though his score dropped, he still gets an Antler luggage collection, and his home partner still gets $1,000 cash.
We begin our next round:
Jaydan solves A MATTER OF TIME.
Someone was getting a prize. Jaydan gets a Kenwood kitchen appliance package, and for his home partner, another $1,500 cash.
The top-dollar is now 2,500!
RRRIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIINNNNGGGG!
Not only do we need to hurry, we need to quickly increase these scores! Rob will give the Wheel a spin, and consonants are worth 220.
Jaydan: T
Nicole: M (x2)
Emma: Y (DUD!)
Jaydan: C (DUD!)
Nicole: H (DUD!)
Emma: L (DUD!)
Jaydan: P (Lucky P!)
Only vowels left!
Jaydan solves PANTOMIME. Due to a scoring error, he is short by 145.
He also takes a Gold coast holiday, and his home partner takes yet another $2,000 cash.
The consolation prizes are Coinwatch his/hers watches and Parker Pens. All contestants receive the Wheel of Fortune board game.
Not only did Jaydan fall short by 2,615, he didn't even beat Gene's score!
BONUS ROUND:
Like Jenny's case, Jaydan can still win one more prize. Could it be...
Liebherr electronic wine cellar ($4,299)
7-night Great Barrier Reef holiday ($3,933)
Renault Clio Expression ($22,500)
...and most of the cash with an extra $5,000 for his home partner?
With 1,620, Jaydan is grounded with two consonants and a vowel. The Golden Wheel spins, and lands on...
Trip to Vanuatu and stay at waterfront bungalow ($7,160)
His final puzzle is here:
Will ST, and E satisfy him:
Jaydan doesn't even let Rob finish. He instantly solves TO BE IN BUSINESS for the trip! This also brings his home partner up to $9,500 cash!
"...and maybe you could just wait!" - Rob
