Hello, everyone. Hope you all enjoyed your Easter. The time has come, Wheel fans. Season 31 is nearing its end on the first-run airwaves and it's been done taping for a while. So, we must ask the same question we ask before every new season:
What should Wheel of Fortune change for next season and why?
What things should they keep, add, get rid of, or alter? What should they change aesthetically? We know for a fact that the show values fan opinions, so we (and they, hopefully) want to hear from all of you.
However...because these kinds of threads saw some pretty odd and downright ridiculous suggestions in the past, this thread will be locked. Posts will be submitted by forum staff on behalf of members by approval only. There will be a set of rules to follow regarding your Season 32 wishes. Pretend you are meeting WOF producers face-to-face and need to seem as professional as possible. Go wild in your fangames all you want, but this is the real deal we're talking, so you need to be as realistic as possible.
- You may not make any changes that would cause overly-significant changes in the budget.
- If you wish to change anything about the Wheel's values, the regular top dollar value may not exceed $5,000 (except for a special episode or week if the occasion calls for it, like "Wheel 6000").
- If you wish to retire anything of significant value, you must add or change something to replace it or compensate the change.
- Relating to the above, if you wish to retire or change the Million Dollar Wedge, you must offer some kind of potential for a $1,000,000 prize every season (does not have to be every episode) through another method, such as a Jeopardy!-like tournament.
- A typical episode's top six-digit prize may not exceed $100,000.
- If you have significant Wheel layout changes in mind (besides simply changing a couple of wedges), it's preferred that you show your full proposed layouts. You can simply list the wedges in order, or draw a visual layout, either through photo editing software or through a screenshot of an app such as YouSpin.
Staff will be free to post whatever they please, but members must PM their suggestions to therealcu2010, Prizes, and MarioGS (all three, note that to add cu as a participant, you must type in "cu2010", not "therealcu2010") for approval. Also, for every suggestion you give, give a good, legitimate reason as to why you think the change should be done. Any changes that are approved by at least two of us (we don't necessarily have to agree with them, we just need to deem them appropriate and legitimate enough for this thread) will be posted in this thread on your behalf. If any of us do not approve of a change, we'll tell you why, and possibly prompt you to alter it before we can make it public. Remember, be realistic! Any "extreme" suggestions will be disregarded entirely. We have the right to refuse any and all suggestions and to ask further questions about anything before we approve or disapprove of it.
We can't wait to hear from all of you. Put yourself in the producers' shoes! Now's your chance to give your simulated contributions to help improve America's Game, so start brainstorming now!
By submitting an idea to this thread, you hereby extinguish any and/or all present and future rights to your idea(s) to Sony Pictures Entertainment. You also agree not to sue, indemnify, or take any other course of legal actions against Sony, Wheel of Fortune, its employees, affiliates, or subsidiairies. The higher-ups at Wheel probably won't see this thread, but it's probably the only way our ideas could have a chance of being used.
