Posted on the Winker's Facebook page just a few moments ago: "HAVE YOU BEEN A CONTESTANT ON A NATIONAL GAME SHOW? If so, **private message** me with the name of the show, what year you were on, how much you won, and any other interesting tidbits about your experience. I'm looking for contestants with interesting stories to feature in a brand new video series. Wanna take part? Send me a message!" cc: dreamoffields, emilburp, ten96lt, dantastic312, allysonjade, melody, katemonster

You mean Wink? He's a game show legend from here in the States. In the '70s and '80s he was a very prolific game show host, doing shows such as High Rollers, Tic Tac Dough, Gambit, and a lot of others than I'm definitely forgetting. He's now got his own YouTube channel and Facebook page.
I think he's trying to do a new video series for his channel profiling some interesting game show contestants over the years. When he did Tic Tac Dough, there was a guy by the name of Thom McKee who was on for something like 43 days and won well over $300,000 in cash and prizes. So he's trying to profile some interesting contestants (maybe not necessarily big winners!). You'd definitely qualify, Javier, I don't think he'll have anyone from Spain reaching out to him.

Well, he looks for people who has been contestants in national game shows, US game shows. I don't think he would be interested in people from another countries xD

He said "national game shows." He didn't specify WHICH nation.

Well, I'll send him my experience with the YouTube links. Being a co-host of a game show will atract his attention, or not?

Dude. Yes. Absolutely. You go from contestant to co-host? I don't think anyone else on this board has pulled that off!

I've contacted with him. Here is my message, because you don't know how I really got to the show: Hi, Wink! I'm Javier and I'm from Barcelona, Spain. Yes, I know it will sound weird, but I know some people from the US and they told me to send you my experience in a game show from my country. So here it is.
I was a contestant of "La Ruleta de la Suerte", the Spanish version of "Wheel of Fortune". Since I was a child, I've had a very special predilection for this show, because I learned to write and read before going to school thanks to the puzzles and the letters picked by the contestants. But the first version show ended at the final 1990s. The current version started at 2006, and this week the show has celebrated its 8th anniversary. When this version started I was only 13 and I didn't expect that the show continued airing when I reached the age of 18. But yes, it continued and when I was 18 I started to apply for being a contestant.
When the actual version started airing, my grandfather made a homemade version of the wheel (which I still have). One day, I sent a photo of the wheel to the La Ruleta official's Twitter, and they replied me telling me that it was so good. They organizated an special episode for Twitter active followers that would be aired when they had reached 10,000 followers. I sent another solicitude for this show in particular, and they called me, I suppose that it was because of the photo of the wheel. Finally, I didn't participate in this episode, but three days after that they called me another time asking me if I wanted to appear as a contestant the following week, and if I could bring them the wheel to show it. Of course, I accepted and eight days after, in June 26, 2012, I was catching a train to Madrid to record my show. The moments before recording were the longest hours of my life, but when finally I entered the studio to play I had the best hour of my life. It was really exciting, because I won the game, with €3,675 in total (almost $5,000, a good prize because the Spanish version is really cheaper than the US version). The episode aired in September 7, 2012.
But it doesn't finish here. In March, they called me another time. They wanted me to appear as a helper of the host in the 7th anniversary special episode! The taping was in April 9, 2013, and it would be aired in April 18. It was an special with another six contestants, the funniest contestants from the last season. One of my functions was spinning the wheel to make three teams between them. That time, I won €700 ($970 approximately) and a wedge with my name written.
That's my history. Here are the YouTube links of both episodes:
The first episode: www.youtube.com/watch?v=_KukkUUitm4 The second episode: www.youtube.com/watch?v=nh7n9JnS5sQ (there is a bit difference between video and audio in this video).
I hope you like my story. Greetings! Javier

I just DM'ed WooWoo for this. I'm not on Facebook, otherwise I'd send my info to Wink himself!
