After no nominations last year, Wheel now has two nominations for the 2014 Daytime Emmys, which will air on June 22nd. Their nominations are for: Outstanding Game Show (against The American Bible Challenge, The Chase, Jeopardy!, Let's Make a Deal, and The Price is Right) Outstanding Achievement in Lighting Direction (against The Ellen DeGeneres Show, The Queen Latifah Show, Sesame Street, and The Aquabats! Super Show!) Wheel is one of four game shows to receive multiple nominations, the others being The Price is Right (2), The American Bible Challenge (2), and Let's Make a Deal (3). Congratulations, Wheel! This year's Daytime Emmys will unfortunately not be airing on TV. Instead, the ceremony will be streamed live on www.daytimeemmys.net at 5 PM on June 22nd. |

I definitely don't want Steve to win. I'm glad Feud is back from the dead but not at the cost of how they got there. Using forced comedy and their innuendo questions heavily to get an OMG answer. I would really like to see Wayne get it.

Correction: the awards are at 5 Pacific Time/8 Eastern. At the Creative Arts Daytime Emmys on Friday, Wheel tied with Ellen for the Outstanding Achievement in Lighting Direction award. Congratulations, Wheel!  |

Jeopardy! wins nearly every time it's nominated. I believe it has only lost to Cash Cab, which is no longer around, so J! is back to snatching the award. Even when WOF won most recently, it tied with J! (which honestly, is the result I most like to see, because there's really no way WOF would ever win something over J! given the general consensus about the two shows), and that was likely because both Pat and Alex got their Lifetime Achievement Awards that same year. Neither Pat nor Alex were nominated this year. It's probably good that Pat wasn't because of all the hilarious "buzzing" he caused lately. But hey, either way, it's an award for Harry. |
