Goodbye perfecto for Brian (thanks Sam) - he still did great tonight! This is the FOURTH one-gender show that was NOT for Mom's Week, Dad's Week, or Military Week and the first all-male show I've seen in a while. Too bad for Sterling have very little luck. The BR was a toughie, but a $30K sweep all week really agonizes me. Even the extra episode (March 18) had a $30K loss. And the $6K wedge was LEFT IN THE COLD!!! UGH. My rating: 7 As for Brian's quick R1 solve, did you guys think we were gonna have a R6 because of it? I sure did...

Can't believe I couldn't solve TU1. I got snagged on "ANYTHING'S…" and couldn't make the leap in time. I think of "America's Game" as more of a Title. Speaking of Title, why wasn't TU2 Song Title? That's a weird trend lately, taking the title but calling it Song Lyrics instead. I beat Brian to R1 by one letter. Also got R5 with only the T.

Good show tonight and great way to wrap up Wheel 6000 week (even though that $6,000 wedge was never hit at all this week) enjoyed seeing Brian being on a roll with having 2 perfect rounds tonight and the tribute to the 4,000th episode from about a decade ago too.

Brian was doing awfully well until the S-U. He needed at least one more letter in the top word of the bonus puzzle.

bmothersele, pat yourself on the back, sir! A fine, fine showing indeed! It's a bummer you ran out of steam near the end there, but who cares? You put up such an impressive showing that the last two rounds (well, maybe except the Bonus Round) didn't even matter.

I forgot he was a member of the boards! Brian you did fantastic! Were you surprised the $30K was landed on all week (inc. March 18)? This set has had some similarities... -March 18 - Three women -April 28 - Two men named Josh (inc. WooWho) -April 29 - Two contestants from Oklahoma -April 30 - Two women named Joann -May 1 - Two contestants from Missouri -May 2 - Three men (inc. bmothersele)

R1: Wha- HOW?! I give you an applause bmothersele! R5: I had it by time the E's came in. Final: I had him beat to BIKE PUMP. Although I wonder why they didn't use BICYCLE PUMP instead.

If I were a betting man, I'd bet that they'd have the Prize Puzzle be a non-trip prize before the $30,000 isn't landed on, even though one's a voluntary choice of the show and the other's just dumb luck.

Looks like we'll be counting down now. We have 30 more episodes to achieve just a $100,000 hit in the Bonus Round.

Is it just me or did they forget to mention about their 5,000th episode this week? Tonight's episode was quite interesting & like tenpoundhammer, I knew the round one puzzle without any letters being called. Only disappointment is that the $6,000 wedge was not hit. Even Ken Jennings was mentioned by Vanna at the end since the 4,000th show did air in 2004. My score is 75/100.

Brian sure kicked some rear end tonight. He never lost his turn until the speed-up, but I was surprised that he didn't get that bonus puzzle. Part of the reason is that I got it. If I could've gotten a puzzle, he could've done the same. That's how good he was tonight.
And that ONE click shy of $6000? Crud! Oh, well. Maybe it'll be back in the future as a normal playable value. Besides, it was to have been one of the values on THQ's last Wheel game.
Now if there's any comfort, $375 was a playable value and in fact has been landed on - in Australia. And what about $525? That was an Aussie value too. I'm sure it had been landed on as well. Furthermore, 6000 was a value on Hungary's version, although that was not in dollars obviously, but I'm sure that was landed on many times over there.

Well to be honest Eugene, the 5,000th episode was BORING (with a $100K LOSS on a VERY TOUGH PUZZLE included). I don't think they would've showed that.

Anything I could say has already been said, so I'll just note yet another appearance of the Bare F-ing Minimum. I'll also go ahead and join in the congrats to Brian for not only solving Round 1 so quickly, but taking nearly $22,000 cash from Harry's wallet. Your optimal Bonus Round strategy for May 2, 2014:* I'll go with BMPI(K). While one could make an argument for U to avoid PAMP and POMP, I think that's less likely than getting hung up on the otherwise-most-likely guess of BAKE for the first word. Oh, and we're up to 168 consecutive shows without a Big One landing. There's only been one season (Season 21) and one calendar year (2004) where a Big One wasn't won, but we haven't had a season with no such hits at all. In a weird way, I'm actually enjoying this Express ride down the track of futility. Even Ken Jennings was mentioned by Vanna at the end since the 4,000th show did air in 2004. I'm a bit confused as to why she would, since the ceremonial #4,000 (actually #3,946) aired in November 2003 and the actual #4,000 aired well before Ken began his run. Further, I'm a bit surprised since Ken's run as a returning champ garnered quite a bit of positive attention to Jeopardy! in much the same way as Thom McKee on Tic-Tac-Dough in 1980 (here's someone who's mowing down his competition and scaling new winnings heights, but how long can he last?) and "returning players" is a concept that Wheel's been avoiding. The arguments regarding returning champs have been made time and again, though, so I won't rehash them here.

The best episode of the Wheel 6000 week I think. And this time the $6,000 space was so close! Sincerely, I was hoping Brian to win TU3, because with his spin pattern he would have hit the $6K space (he hit the $2,500 in R1 and he did some complete revolutions to the Wheel). Anyway, congratulations, Brian! I was so impressed with your solve at R1. Too bad you couldn't win the BR... But you ended with a great total!

Hi everyone!!! I finally got around to the forum!!! Thank you everyone for all the positive words and thoughts, I am very appreciative for that. I have to say, after watching it on TV, I enjoyed watching Pat's interactions with me, I thought he was great. I can also say I've never seen an episode of Wheel with so much laughter. I had some people back home tell me that it felt like watching an SNL Sketch, which I can understand. Now I can also take the time to reply to some comments about my episode. First and foremost, WooHoo (Josh), I definitely did run out of steam at the end there. I was pretty much burnt after all that excitement during the first 4 rounds and the toss-ups, I had used up all my energy. Rockefeller Center didn't click until Sterling had called C, but by that time, I figured Sam was going to get it, because it had been filled in. germanname, I was also surprised that I didn't hit the $6k wedge, and I came so close to it too!!! All week it never even came close, well actually all week the beginning of Round 4 was the Speed-Up round until my episode, I guess because I went too quick lol. I wonder if I had landed on it and called an R with 3 of them in the puzzle if I would've solved with $18k in the bank lol. lousan92, I'm glad I was able to impress you with that solve. After I taped, I thought about it, and said "I'm a lucky bastard that the middle word wasn't in" (like Thursday's episode with Will Smith IN Independence Day) or Sterling would've gotten a generous gift from me. WarioSajak, I didn't mind taking $22k from Harry's Wallet, and two jam-up vacations on top of that!!! I'd say not bad for a half hour of work and lastly, genius2751, as far as the $30k landing all week, my whole thing is this. There are so many spots on that bonus wheel that it's all random, and I'm not sure the breakdown of the envelopes is. It would've been sweet if someone actually landed on the Lexus!!!!! All in all, it was the best birthday present ever!!!! (My birthday is February 28, and we taped on February 27!!!!) Everyone else I didn't get a chance to acknowledge, thank you for your kind and wonderful words, I appreciate them. It's nice to go on here and see good things said, as opposed to Twitter and Facebook where it was split.... But I will say, I can take a good rib or two, and saw a comment on twitter that said "Brian must still think it's 1999 #hairgel" and actually died laughing because I thought it was pretty clever. Thanks again everyone, I'm glad I finally made it back on the board!!!
