I saw the picture of Wheel of Fortune - Live! that was put up at the Wiki, and Daniel, I want to ask you. Where did you find that? Cuz now, I want to see a video of this adaption soon, part of the reason being I want to know that layout. I know this was from 1996, but look at that purple space next to Bankrupt. Was that really worth $650 sixteen years before it's revival on the actual show? The space next to it looks like a four-digit value since the zeroes look smaller.
Since I brought that up, I also read some info about Woolery's Wheel O' Fortune, and I made a guess based on the description of the Wheel layout a couple years ago. I know it somewhat resembles Goen's 1989 round 1 layout, but this was my first attempt at guessing that layout. germanname.deviantart.com/art/Wheel-O-Fortune-286051690

The one on the Adaptations page of the History Wiki: I saw the picture of Wheel of Fortune - Live! that was put up at the Wiki, and Daniel, I want to ask you. Where did you find that? I honestly don't remember. Had it on my computer for so long, but thought it was too small to add to the Wiki.

Oh well. At least we have something for now. I know Michael Burger has his own page. So maybe we will get something, but for now, let's keep looking.

I guess so. Now we got more of a description. Pity we couldn't enlarge the picture somehow. Oh well, we'll find something else. At least we got some more info about how some of the stuff is done, at least during the Summer of 2000.

After some Google-Fu, I've found more info on how the show was done in 2000, including how the progressive jackpot had to be won (kinda hard, actually -- managed to get from $25,000 to at least $68,500 between mid-January and mid-April). The page on Wheel of Fortune - Live! has been updated accordingly. Also, I'm actually a bit surprised no footage has turned up, since during the 2000 run the 75-minute live show aired locally on KVBC. I also found this page where the writer talks about a trip to the stage show in Spring 2000 and his tryout for the actual show in 2006.

...wait a minute. If the jackpot really built up that much... ...you could get on the real thing in 2000, win the game with a good total and win the bonus round, and you'd still have less than if you had gone to the Vegas show and spun up the right wedges. Personally, I'd rather get my 15 minutes of fame on national TV than win a bigger jackpot on a stage show that everyone's just going to end up forgetting about.

That's a lot of money to offer, that's for sure, but I do have a couple questions. First, does anyone know if any pictures or videos were taken of the 2003 adaption that Woolery hosted?
Second, I appeared twice on a game show called Wheel of Wisdom. The show, which also has a Wheel, albeit filled with categories and subjects, started back in 1985 yet claims to be more prolific than The Price is Right and Wheel of Fortune. Now to the mods, would that count has an adaption or not? I've had some photos taken of my 1998 and 2004 appearances on the show.

I've...never heard of that show. A wheel of categories and subjects sounds a bit closer to Name That Tune's Melody Roulette, especially the original style (which I believe had names of singers/bands rather than dollar amounts). Some Google searches led me to the official website and this 1992 Chicago Tribune article on its creator. Based on the stuff I found, it's a traveling show that, aside from having three players and a wheel, doesn't seem to be based on Wheel of Fortune and in fact appears to be a Q&A. On a side note, one of the related articles on the Tribune site was this gem from December 1985, which hopes that 1985 is the last year for Wheel (among other things on television) to "persist on borrowed time".

Yeah, Wheel of Wisdom is a trivia game, and thus I was not expecting it to be considered an adaption of Wheel of Fortune. Despite this, I wanted to ask just in case.
