I can just imagine just how much of a craze it was when Tiger came out with the first Wheel of Fortune game in 1995. I remember getting my hands on a unit during Christmastime 1996. Apparently, it was so much of a craze that Tiger made French and German versions. I do not know the full layout of France's packaging layout, nor do I know the layout used in the game itself. As for the German version, which came out in 1997, their packaging layout has two purple spaces adjacent to each other.
As I'm typing this, there is a copy of the German version for sale on Ebay. It's 35 euros which is about $48 if anyone wants to buy it. It ships worldwide.

Unfortunately, there are no pictures of the Wheel (the layout in the game is different) after it's spun over there). The best I've got for that is at www.gluecksrad-kult.de/ Go to "Merchandise" then "Spiele," and scroll down the the very bottom. The picture quality is not enough to make out any values, but it looks as if most of the values are three-digit. The red space by the Bankrupt may be worth 1000, but I have no way of knowing for sure.

I have the Hasbro one. Haven't played it in years so idk if it still works. I think it was similar to the Tiger one though. Shaped relatively similarly and worked with cartridges in the back. This one

Well, I'm sure some of you know by now that I know Germany's Wheel layout. In fact, I was so excited I did this. www.deviantart.com/art/Gluecksrad-1997-LCD-Game-Screen-HD-475443159 Yep, I know how weird the K looked. Anyway the reason why I brought this back up was because I thought I'd show you some secrets regarding Tiger's WOF JR. Not long after they released WOF JR, I bought it at a Toys R Us. 14 years later, I wanted to take the game apart just to get the Wheel by itself. So I bought another unit off of Ebay; that came to my house yesterday. Right before it came, I checked the one I already had just to be sure it was working. Trying to tell the game I was spinning was almost impossible. Even if the game did recognize that the Wheel spun, it would tell me I needed to spin again. So, I ended up cutting the life support of the one I had for almost a decade and a half. The new unit came in, and although I initially needed to reset the game a few times, it works well. When I took my first unit apart, I saw how the game was able to determine the point value spun up, although at times, it's not entirely accurate. Here's a literal inside look at how Tiger made this possible. www.flickr.com/photos/12073552@N05/15421128205/sizes/o/ I made a scan on the Wheel which is now over at the Wiki, and I even made it my own little spinner now. So I hope you all appreciate the $13.45 sacrifice I made for you.

I'm guessing it rotates on that sensor or something? I had that version, a newer (at the time) tiger one and the deluxe game (still have that one)
