So I don't know how any of us missed this, but a "new" episode of Wheel 2000 was uploaded two months ago, and it's a pretty eventful one, because it ends with a two-way tie (which really should have been a three-way tie...). The physical game is Wash N' Wear Words.
Also includes commercials and GSN promos, including one for the adult WOF before the Bonus Round.

I think I remember this episode, not for the tie, but for the only time someone scored at least 10,000 points, only it wasn't so legit of a score. Did they really just have to make some random big number or what?
Anyway, thank you for helping me see this again.

It seems they just decided to make consonants worth 5,000 points each for the tiebreaker round, though scoring doesn't even really matter in this situation, especially since it's not in dollars.

Did Scott Sternberg come up with that broken house minimum rule? It sounds like something he'd have been responsible for.
And evidently they didn't do a Final Final Spin in the event of a tie, or at least not in this instance. Not like it matters, though, since "cash" evidently wasn't in Sternberg's dictionary under "game show prizes"...
As for placement of the episode in regard to the changes made as taping progressed, mid-run (regular Wheel layout, light bulbs on the contestant displays, logo on the monitors and what used to be a clock, yellow-on-red A-B envelopes).

All right. Now I get it. They could've shown the total of 15,500 points, but showing just the tie-breaker round score is okay too, at least in this situation.

I don't know if he left voluntarily or if he got the boot, but I do know this. While analyzing the gameplay of Wash N' Wear Words (that's how it's spelled on the wedge), I made an appalling discovery. Although it's considered moderate (and has even been used in a Season 6 puzzle), the D-word was a word choice. I don't know if Simon noticed that or not, but if he was too busy to notice, thank goodness.
