Well, as Mark has mentioned frequently over the past few days, Wheel of Fortune comes out for the DS and Wii today. If you're interested, so is Jeopardy, but since this is a Wheel board, I chose not to put it in the title.
I must say, this is a perfectly fitting tribute to Charlie. May he rest in peace; he was really the game show announcer I grew up on. I'll miss him a lot, and he's helped me become who I am; he's such a large part of my childhood.
Mark has also said on one of his Youtube channels, leafsfan18, that he will be reviewing the DS version of this game. Check that out if you have the time, it should be good.
Anyway, I made this thread so our forum members here can give their own review, likes/dislikes of the new games. So, I ask you: what do you all think of the new games? What are the best parts? What needs work?

Well, I got my DS copy of Wheel yesterday and won $112,200 in my first game, including a $70,000 boat in the bonus round! From what I've seen, the game pretty much follows the Season 27 rules exactly. However, there are a few differences between the Wii and DS versions And from a couple of videos I've seen of people playing the Wii version, one of them being MarioGS, I have determined that one of the differences is in terms of when speed up mode occurs. In the Wii version, speed up occurs while Round 4 is in progress. In the DS version, it occurs at the beginning of Round 4. I've also noticed that in the DS version, if you do not get the wheel all the way around, the spin does not count and you have to spin again just like in the Sega CD version from the 90s. And apparently Pat does hit the Lose A Turn and Bankrupt spaces in the DS version because when I was playing last night, Pat's initial final spin landed on Lose A Turn, with his do over spin landing on Bankrupt before finally hitting $900 on his second do over spin. I'm not sure if Pat hits the Bankrupt or Lose A Turn spaces on the Final Spin in the Wii version, though, as the gameplay videos I've seen of the Wii version have showed him landing on a dollar amount on his initial spin. But since it does happen on the DS version, I'm sure it happens on the Wii version as well. Overall, they did a really great job with this game. I highly recommend it. I give it a 9 out of 10.

Previous post edited because it turns out that you actually can use the wild card in the bonus round on the DS version.

For the speed-up on the Wii, he does immediately spin it again. I've had it happen.
As for the mystery round on the Wii version, when a mystery wedge is revealed, the other is removed from the wheel as well, just like in the old Sony online versions. The DS version's Mystery Round is as faithful to the one on the show.
I have been making comparisons to and the Wii and PS3 versions. Although the PS3 version does not have Prize Puzzles, Prize wedges, the Free Play (really because it was released during Wheel's 26th synidcated season), the current bonus wheel layout (despite the fact it was supposed to be) and not to mention Pat, Vanna, and Charlie (God bless his soul), the graphics, fonts, and animations almost if not completely emulate those of the show. Additionally, the Wild Card is only usable after buying a vowel that's in the puzzle.
Although the Wii isn't exactly as graphically faithful to the show as the PS3 version, it is the first ever WOF game to boast Pat Sajak, and it has some interesting features.
