I'd like to see Mario's avatar be the $350 wedge wearing the Mario hat

Prizes showed me this last night. The actual $1,000 wedge (not one of those mini ones) was sold on eBay last night. We all missed the boat on this one.

You have to wonder yourself, unless a Wheel staff member has an Ebay. BTW, Bryce, yes, it was Gamelover1949.

Now if there was one actual wedge that I would LOVE to have, it'd be something that I (as a value buff) do not know whether or not it still existed after 1991, but it's a yellow wedge that starts with a $12 and ends with a 50.

Here's a fun fact about the video. The game we were "playing" was Mario Kart 8. I originally had a shot of the TV where I (as Mario of course) hit $350 (as Light Blue Yoshi, to match color, and obviously not driving) with a shell, and I say "HA!... Oh, come on, $350. You're not even trying. What are you, a cardboard cutout or something?" I originally uploaded the video like this, but then I saw the rule about no copyrighted material, so I got paranoid and removed it, cut it out (along with a view of the TV in my basement showing Weird Al on Craig Ferguson, which was on TV at the time; I wasn't home when Wheel was on and had no way of deliberately putting it on the TV), and then re-uploaded it about three hours before the deadline. When Kristen (a very nice lady who works for Wheel's social media team) called and asked for me to send the video, I told her about the Mario Kart bit and asked if it's considered copyrighted. She said she would have to check with the legal team, but told me it was probably best I left that out in the end (and I joked "Especially since Mario is a Nintendo franchise and Wheel is Sony."  ), but she said to send both versions of the video anyway. Too bad the final version is the one without it, but oh well.

Congrats to all the honorable mentions!   I personally love the one with the faux-Prize Puzzle. 


As of now, the wedge has not arrived. I haven't received any kind of confirmation they sent it out yet but I imagine they did so by now. I did have to sign and scan a waiver last week promising that I don't auction or sell the wedge nor deface it or use it in a derogatory manner. Basically, I can't put it on eBay or draw mustaches on it. 

Happy to know the wedge will be in good hands. Congrats, Mario!
