If they bring back Megaword, they need to go the distance and go all the way to Supermegaword. Now THAT would be entertaining television right there, folks. On the bright side, at least Supermegaword wouldn't usually result in a dudfest, although it might have more mispronounciations.

I think Pat would actually enjoy Supermegaword. It's fun to say, if nothing else.

I'd love to see Slogan make a comeback. I always thought that was a good category.

Clue and megaword just for the funnies of it (and i like a good mystery concerning clue). Also time consuming? That's more interesting than a 10 minutes of egg and ointment infomercials (i know they gotta make dough to give away but a 24 minute gameplay is better than 17.)

Megaword Please! I mean you can have 14 letter boards with the 1997- board. Although I could see how it could get very long. It would be very interesting if someone were to hop on to the express train (know what I'm saying). I also really liked slogan, that seemed fun and you have an extra shot for more money.

All of those categories you guys brought that you want it to return, but they look soooooo boring. Screw the rest, bring back "REALLY LONG TITLE" and I'll buy. On a serious note, yeah bonus categories would make a great return and please, amp it up with $4,000 instead of $3,000.

I always really liked FILL IN THE BLANK ----which it's sort of like SAME NAME but not quite. I'd like to see it make a comeback.
On a side note, one category I'd like to see retired is IN THE KITCHEN. Puzzles that fall under this category could all be put under AROUND THE HOUSE. I think ITK is way too easy and descriptive.

tlc, please stop bumping old threads like this one without adding something significant to the discussion. If nobody has posted in a thread in over a month, that's a good sign that everything's been said that needs to be unless there's a sudden new development.
You've been warned multiple times about this over the last few days. If you continue bumping old threads without good cause, disciplinary action may be in your future.

If we're not allowed to post in any threads except the first couple on the board then why not just lock all the others or delete them. I've never understood why we can't post in old threads. Honestly, what does it hurt? No offense, I'm just asking.

If we're not allowed to post in any threads except the first couple on the board then why not just lock all the others or delete them. I've never understood why we can't post in old threads. Honestly, what does it hurt? No offense, I'm just asking. It's not that you're not allowed to post in these threads. As I've said before, if you have something SUBSTANTIAL to add to the discussion, then by all means post it. An example of that for this thread might be if we find out that a category is actually being brought back - then there's a legitimate reason for the discussion to be revived, because you can ask about what other categories should/shouldn't have also been returning at the same time. But when you're consistently dredging up old threads that haven't been posted in for a long time and not adding anything of significant value to the material that's already there, all that's happening is that you're burying the new threads that do have active discussions going on (and sometimes confusing other users when they wonder why this old thread is suddenly back on top). We're not going to delete these kinds of threads, because somebody might want to go back and read those posts for whatever reason, nor will we usually lock them, just in case there IS some valid reason to revive the discussion. However, we try to stick to the rule of thumb that of a thread hasn't been posted in for about a month, it's best to let it die gracefully.
