This isn't going to start with a whole taping report (knowing how long that takes me sometimes), but I will tell you what I do know from the 6 shows I watched, and yes it has been approved:
KNOWN
The wheel has the same dollar amounts as last season. Vowels are still $250. Game structure is still the same (Mystery Wedges look the same). 1/2 Car is now rounds 2-3. Same Letter still awards $1000 for the bonus letter. Tossup up circle is now a dark blue instead of the pink one we've seen (lettering is still the same color). Final Spin is same as last season. We've got a new intro that starts from the bay and goes into the studio and retains some parts from the tour from the last season, but there were a couple of rather choppy transitions. Cloud pattern does seem to be the scoreboard style. Jim did confirm that there were no scheduled road trips at the moment. Bonus Round wheel is the same, and yes $33,000 is the minimum. Title Card is the same as last season.
Removed pieces of information that, by their nature of being included, indicates that they didn't happen in the shows you saw and were true spoilers for those episodes. - Flerb

I was really hoping they'd change the red $700 to $750. Maybe in season 34...

So, this season has no positive changes at all, except for the 1/2 Car being absent in R1. It's an step backwards for the show...

Well, if the only major changes are the upping of the bonus minimum and the absence of Half Car tags in Round 1, it's a bit disappointing to me. Yet, if Season 34 is going to be the same as Season 33 technically, I'd be okay with that because what I'm hoping for and counting on is that by the landmark 35th season, the show will have some real changes worth being pleased over. Yeah, I know to some it may seem a bit too early to mention that, but considering how few changes there are going to be come this September, I think it's still worth mentioning nonetheless.

I think taking the 1/2 Car out of Round 1 is reasonable. We had about a billion 1/2 Car wins in S32, so nothing wrong with making it a tiny bit harder to get.
Wouldn't have minded a little alteration to the template, though.

It surprises me that they didn't limit the 1/2 CAR to just one round. Round 1 would've been ideal if they did this.
I wasn't hoping for or expecting too much with a new wheel template because it's to the point now where they can't do that much more to raise the dollar amounts. With $500 being the minimum, I think the wheel is better now. Although, 6 $500 wedges is a bit too much but I know why they did it to make all the wheel addons (cardboard) be under a $500 wedge. The only change I was really hoping for was to see the return of $750. They should've changed the red $700 to $750.

Can it be assumed that CLASSIC TV, THE 70s, THE 80s, and THE 90s have been retired?
When was the last time we seen these categories? I don't even think CLASSIC TV was used in season 32.
I wonder if new categories will pop up in season 33.

One of the trivia questions asked during the show was about how many catergories there are and the answer was 42, make of that what you will.
(Also, could someone change the title of the thread? The taping report's probably going to be in a separate thread to keep this thread about the info.)

Done.
I have a copy of a category list from Season 31 (revision date 11/1/13, the first revision to finally remove the trivia categories) and I counted 43 categories as their own entity. The decade categories are listed together while all the Title derivatives are separate. Strangely, Phrase and Phrases are listed separately (and they're the first two on the list) while all other plurals are listed together with their singular form, except for Occupation and Occupations, which are separate, and Landmarks isn't there at all. Perhaps the show's "official" count drops the never-used "Where Are We Going?" category.

Has the category PHRASES ever been used? What would be an example of this?

IIRC, mechamind recalls it being used once around 2000 for a puzzle involving dog trick phrases. That's the only record of it ever being used. However, one recent puzzle of "KNOCK KNOCK WHO'S THERE?" possibly would have been categorized as Phrases if Phrase hadn't been used earlier in the episode, so it was categorized as Quotation insread.

^ Would've been better if the Phrase BEFORE "KNOCK KNOCK WHO'S THERE?", HOME SWEET HOME, was a Song Title.

Something just dawned on me...
There are 6 $500 wedges on the wheel. 3 are green, 2 are purple, and 1 is pink.
I don't really like the fact that 3 of these $500 wedges are green. It looks odd.
It's also odd that starting in season 33, in round 2, there will be NO visible $500 wedge on the wheel unless some of the cardboard is picked up.
Since no money is awarded when the wild card or million dollar wedge are picked up, they should consider changing the dollar amounts under these wedges.

Since no money is awarded when the wild card or million dollar wedge are picked up, they should consider changing the dollar amounts under these wedges. There were no visible $500 spaces in either R1 or R2 this season, so this is nothing new. The three green $500 spaces were covered by the car tags (which will now leave two of these spots open in R1) and the Wild Card. The purple pair had the prize wedge and the gift tag, while the pink one sat under the MDW. Also, the Wild Card does award $500 per letter. The MDW is the only cardboard that currently does not also add cash to a player's bank.

I don't want to start a debate or anything but I don't really think they'll use Husband & Wife anymore to be PC.
Anyone...right off the top of your head, when was the last time "Family" was used?
