Hey all, I'm new to the forum and I've got a question. I just got a copy of the Tyco WOF game from '91 yesterday and the little slip of plastic (the stopper for the Wheel) snapped. What would be a decent replacement for that and how can I get the Wheel to spin easier?
If this isn't the right section for this, I apologize in advance.

No, you should be in the right spot. As for a replacement, a strip of paper or thin cardboard should do. I recommend you poke a hole in the center with a pin so that it holds better. If none of that works, please let me know, and I'll try and think of something else.

The clicker was the death of every owner of the Tyco/Mattel game ever. When we first assembled the Wheel when we got the Mattel reissue (we never had the original Tyco version, just the Pressman one), the clicker went flying across the room when we first spun the Wheel and we never found it. We would just cut little strips of paper but they were prone to slipping out of the clicker's holder. I look at listings of the game on eBay and almost all of them have the clicker missing. The only ones that do have it are the rare never-opened ones. "Like" this post if you had the Tyco or Mattel game and you lost or broke the clicker.

I lost the clicker a few times, but my parents were always able to send requests to Tyco for replacements, but of course, that was before Tyco went out of business.
Within the last four or five years or so, I bought an unopened Tyco first edition online. So, I have the clicker and have since been making sure not to lose it. I also bought Tyco's 2nd Edition and the coveted 1998 Mattel adaption; both of these could've been in better shape, but at least they came with all the puzzles, which was what I was really going for when I bought them.

For the moment I seem to have a fix. Oddly enough I couldn't get paper to work on the upside the rubber band won't go flying. I might actually be able to tape my clicker back together but that might have an adverse effect.

I saw something about parts on ebay, but it didn't seem to have a clicker. Maybe the flimsy pointer is why people say this particular wheel sucks? And my copy I actually snagged for $1.50 at a thrift shop, so I'm surprised the pointer was even there.

Wait, did Mattel buy Tyco (thus resulting in the 1998 Mattel re-release)?

I had the original Tyco edition (got it as a Christmas present one year along with their Jeopardy! game), I don't even remember there being a clicker with it...

I had the original. There was a clicker with it, but it either broke or disappeared within a few months time...
