^ This is what happened during my final in Springfield, IL in June. The people asked to stay were definitely not the best candidates. (One guy I remember was repeatedly told to smile, talk louder, etc.) Though of course, some promising candidates were called as well. I think it's their way of giving people a second chance or a final look. Somehow, I did not need either and I was dismissed after the test and still got my letter! That is great! Congrats!!! I bet you did much better on the written test than I did though LOL! Thanks, and you never know! (But you'll know for sure in about 3 weeks). Did you submit a video or attend a wheelmobile event and get on stage? Those things I believe work in your favor if you're not asked to stay after the test. Also, as Woohoo said, if you don't make it, think of it as preparation for next time. It took me a couple final auditions before I got accepted, and some people even more. Don't give up, it's possible! Now even moreso since you know exactly what to expect! Good luck! I know how checking the mailbox for the next 2 weeks feels. |

Including someone who showed up in cargo shorts and a baseball cap without an application. Without an application? You're kidding me... I can't make this stuff up! He was there with a friend as part of a duo. |

I'm wondering if he was referring to the Denver THEME week and just got the info wrong. I thought no remotes was pretty much confirmed, but that would be fun! That is my understanding. They were specific in the welcome bit that they were filming a week of shows that were Denver themed but weren't filming them here. |

To be honest, I had the yellow test and I got all of them within the 5 minutes.

The anchor was mistaken. They were definitely referring to the Denver week of the "Great American Cities" weeks. It looks like each of those three weeks (Denver, Seattle, Philadelphia) are going to feature only contestants from the respective areas. They had a couple of Wheelmobile events near Seattle earlier this year and there will be auditions in Atlantic City, which is very close to Philadelphia, starting later this month.
Those who get the letter from the Denver auditions, expect to tape next February or March.

Ummmm not sure what happened, I typed that on mobile. Hm. What I said was (in reply to that quote):
Wondering if it was the same yellow test I had in Springfield, IL. I remember the category at the bottom was "SHOW BIZ" (and I got those 4 pretty quickly). There was also "THINGS" I think (which I struggled with). I also remember "RHYME TIME" being there (with a puzzle I remember from my 2010 Chicago audition, though I don't remember if the whole test was the same). I think overall I got 11 or 12 plus some partials.

My yellow test in June was Proper Name, Phrase, Same Name, and Living Thing/Living Things (could be singular or plural). As for the guy who didn't have an application, I guess his friend who got it was just like, "Hey, we should try out as a team." I thought in order for a team to try out together, both needed to get the invite, but I guess since the application is Emailed now, a friend, spouse, or relative can just tag along... Looking back at that news report, despite what the reporter says ("Those staying know they're closer to fulfulling a dream"), those cut should not lose hope. OMG at the woman with the bright yellow hair.  |

I was also at the auditions last Tuesday. Just found these boards/thread! I did make it through to the final round which was fun, I just hope I represented myself well enough. Good luck to all!
