Hello all!! I am new here and I found this site by chance after feverishly searching the internet for answers as to whether or not being sent home during the second audition is an automatic "nope your outta here". I wasn't sure if the casting folks were just being nice when the sent those of us off home today with a "you might get a letter in a two weeks" goodbye. I guess I will see right?! TO be honest I didn't do bad at the calling out the letters in a loud voice and even solved the puzzle, I was my normal happy, giddy self and was genuinely excited when I solved the puzzle. Now when it comes to the written test, which was yellow, ridiculously hard and I bombed this miserably (basically everyone who had yellow in my audition group all agreed it was quite hard). After deliberation however this lady's name was not called and I was sent on my way with a red bag that won for solving a puzzle....BOO  I so terribly want to go on Wheel of Fortune! |

As do I; I think it's the dream of many here to get on the show. Better than my story, I think, which I've said enough over the last 20 months.
However, all is not lost, if anything was. The audition process has changed, meaning that if you do not get called back after the quiz, you can still get on. We have had LOTS of members become future contestants that way. It's a rather new practice on their end, so don't give up hope, you still have a great chance to get on. The quiz is no longer a sole determinant, and furthermore, as everything else went well, especially excitement and smart letter choices; I like your chances. As someone who is pretty much straightforward, I would not say this if I did not believe it to be true. Best of luck, and I suspect you might find a certain letter in your mailbox in just over two weeks.

Thanks for the kinds words! I just recognized the plethora of typos in my thread, but see you were able to get the gist of what I was saying. I am just so mad that I did so terribly on the written test. I mean I did awful! I think I only solved 3 of them...maybe. It was horrible. I generally do great at stuff like that, but I guess today was just not my day. Here's to hoping that I shined in the other area like you said. Thanks again, I appreciate the reply, I really do!

I was there with you!!! The yellow test was BRUTAL! I'm hoping that being loud, energetic, and following the rules (something 85% of people there couldn't seem to do) will trump poor test results!

But a couple of the people that got kept I was super surprised by, 100% not the people out of the room that I would consider a serious candidate. Including someone who showed up in cargo shorts and a baseball cap without an application.

^ This is what happened during my final in Springfield, IL in June. The people asked to stay were definitely not the best candidates. (One guy I remember was repeatedly told to smile, talk louder, etc.) Though of course, some promising candidates were called as well. I think it's their way of giving people a second chance or a final look. Somehow, I did not need either and I was dismissed after the test and still got my letter!

I recognize that member, hehe. Don't believe the article is right, given they're saying/implying if you leave after the quiz, you're out. We know this is not true!
More interestingly: One of the newsdesk reporters stated in the last few seconds that there would be 'a whole week here in Denver'. What is that all about? Clearly it wasn't the audition process, so is there possibly a locale now? What else could that mean? I was sold 100% on no locales, and it seemed logical on a number of levels, but this adds a very interesting, if unexpected, wrinkle to all this.
