Hi all! A co-worker of mine revealed to me that she is quite the WOF fanatic. She found that her first kid would only calm down when watching the spinning and the colors (like most of us, I assume). She also said that she was on an episode. Her birthday is coming up and I'm trying to hunt down the episode. I feel like I'm so close, yet so far away. Here's what I know: - Her name is Jen. She won ~$11k and a trip to Jamaica. - She didn't get to the bonus round on account of a wrestler named "Maniac Mike," whom she said basically just destroyed the game. - She remembers him getting BOULDER COLORADO off of just a few letters. - Mike won the bonus round, answer PORKY PIG That last clue is tantalizing. It looks like that puzzle might have been a retro bonus round clip twice in the recent past: buyavowel.boards.net/thread/4678buyavowel.boards.net/thread/7152/january-13-2015-recapSo based on that, I'm thinking 2000 is the right year, though I've been able to get much farther. Any thoughts?

Good news, Zach. After Googling "'wheel of fortune' 'porky pig' 2000", I came across an old message board post from 2000 mentioning said bonus puzzle. The post is dated January 21, 2000 and explicitly mentions that the puzzle was from a Friday show, so it was very likely that date. Can your friend confirm that she taped a Friday show, meaning her group drew ball #5 and was the last episode to tape that day, plus that her taping's theme was "Ultimate Adventures"?
While it doesn't appear that any tape traders have the 01/21/2000 episode (show S-3220), you may be able to purchase a DVD master from Sony. Once we know for sure that this is the right episode, I will tell you how to contact the show.

Confirmed! She doesn't remember some of those things, but she remembers seeing the infamous Wayne Gretzky puzzle filmed on her day, making the week certain. I'm betting dollars to doughnuts that date is correct. How does one procure the episode? (And how pricey is it?)

Assuming the show is willing to do it, it should cost $75. We've done this for a member before with successful results. I'm going to PM you an Email address to the show's offices and hopefully they'll take things from there. If they do agree to sell you the DVD, you will have to sign an agreement stating that you won't make copies of the DVD or upload footage anywhere online. Good luck! Let us know how it goes.

Good news/bad news on this one. The contact was indeed the right person, and you were also correct that it would have been better to have her write in herself! Their policy is to only release episodes to the actual people who were in those episodes. In any case, I passed on the info to her, and she's really excited. Thanks again team!
