I've watched WOF for a long time, and I'm sure this question has been asked before but I couldn't find it on this site. Why are there almost always 2 women and 1 man for every show? It seems like men would want to win money just as much as women, and the people vying to be contestants would be split pretty evenly between the sexes. Thanks for any info...

If you go to Wheelmobile events, this happens to be pretty accurate of the show; around a 2:1 female:male ratio. Since that's where our contestant pool comes from, it's also naturally reflected on the TV. Hope it helps!

I seriously think they should have 2:1 female/male ratio on one episode, and a 2:1 male/female ratio on the next episode, and alternate subsequently. That way, they would have an equal amount of genders participating in the game on a rotating basis.
I did view a 1980s daytime episode on YouTube recently, and I discovered 3 females competing.
