Just three days before the Surprise wedge was placed on top of the top dollar value for Round 1, it was on the blue $300 for the first two rounds (as shown in the thumbnail) and on the purple $150 in Round 3. With all this in mind along with the fact that the Surprise was only a month old at the time, I can tell that the show was experimenting with where to put it. If you ask me, I would've placed it on the red $200 in Round 1 (It never looked right next to the pink $700 in my opinion.) and the pink $200 for Rounds 3 and after and keep the Prize wedge on the default purple $150, noting that they usually put prize wedges on the smallest dollar value possible.

That may be one of the most evil bonus puzzles ever. I think I remember seeing this episode, the "Zoo" one, and the "Vanna's Pregnant" one.

Interesting ruling on the Clue puzzle since I'm sure had the category (and other bonus categories for that matter) had returned today, I'm sure the rules would have clearly explained backstage that the puzzle must be given or the turn would be lost. That was a short bonus puzzle which was believed to be tied for the shortest at the time until AX showed up the following season. In a way, a good solver could make this more reminiscent of the short-lived Bill Cullen show Pass The Buck where there are multiple good answers, but only one correct answer. Also, that Big Bird's Story Magic brings back childhood memories and I still have it along with some of the cassettes, I regularly went to sleep playing a tape of it.
