Do you have to use your legal name on the show? I go by my middle name.
Anyone know?

When you get called by your contestant coordinator, they'll ask you what you want to go by on your name tag. It probably doesn't have to be your legal name.

Can confirm it does not have to be, at least not on the nametags. I went by Josh on both Wheel and Jeopardy!--they do, however, insist that you go by your legal name on The Price is Right and Let's Make a Deal. (Someone in my group when I went to both shows tried to get their common name on their nametag and they wouldn't let it happen--something about "in case you win something" for tax purposes or some BS like that).

Yeah, that's why I asked. On TPIR they made me use my legal name.

Yep, you can have whatever put on your name tag (within reason). They just require a copy of your ID and SS Card for tax purposes so that gets reported with your legal name.

I remember the last time Wheel came to Philadelphia and I was in the audience, one contestant went by G on his name tag. Which prompted Pat to make the gag "Sony's really cutting the budget".

There was also a guy named Quentin on the Vegas remote in 1998 that went by Q.

This is the one thing that I remembered Jackie saying in the haze of a call I had with her after I just woke up. She talks kind of fast/energetically as well. "K-E-V-I-N THAT'SYOURNAMETAGRIGHT?!" YES! That also made me second-guess all of my friends names when I made name tags for my viewing party.
