redhairedchick I was working during your episode, but I couldn't wait any longer. CONGRATS!! I'm glad the wheel was kind to you. I can't wait to see the reactions from yellow everyone is talking about. (Personally, I was dying on the inside while losing, but I didn't want to be one of "those" people that seems like a bad sport and I have some acting experience). I understand the trouble she had though, thanks for explaining!
*2* TRIPS?! WOO! Are you going to go on both?! So exciting! Sorry you lost the 10k mystery, but that's the way the wheel goes some times I guess, right?! You can't kick yourself for not spinning strategically. There are too many other things happening up there so of course a lot of luck is involved. "Wheel of FORTUNE"
And yes to the ampersand comments. So awkward. I can't say I wouldn't have just automatically added in "and" after the second item by habit. (I know they tell you it must be solved *exactly* as worded, but still...)
This makes me remember something (which I may be repeating). While we were being mic'd before going on, Gary had us say different words to make sure we didn't have any regional dialects or speech impediments or whatever (and we were told to say so if we did). I turned to Shannon and said, "Is this because of the 'Seven Swans A-Swimmin'' incident and she kind of rolled her eyes and said yes while nodding.
I'm guessing they're a bit more relaxed with pronunciation because of the flak they got for that judging.
