Congrats Kathy!! Glad you won big!
That bonus puzzle was just plain stupid. I was able to solve it with your picks but it still doesn't make much sense.

Congrats, Kathy!! You OWNED that game!! It was certainly your show to win! I hate to take away from your big win.. but wth was up with Julia?! Never have I ever seen a contestant so angry and hateful towards another contestant. Wondering if there was something that happened behind the scenes or if she really was that bitter about your win?? I am also dieing to know what she said to you after toss-up 3? The hateful looks were distracting from your happy-go-lucky attitude! (That painful bankrupt round 2... ugh! You handled that better than I would have!) There are literally THOUSANDS of people who want to be on this show so desperately.. if she didnt want to be there, why did she audition?! You were the only one with personality on this episode... you deserved the win! Congratulations to you... enjoy your trips and moolah!!

Kathy! What a great night for you! Congratulations! A few thoughts: As Mellissa said above, that was an incredibly painful bankrupt in round 2. I cringed for you, yikes! But that is completely out of your control, and is what makes the show unpredictable! Clearly you bounced back well! Sort of funny that both repeated consonants were Ns tonight! Pat made some comment about that I think, but I can't remember exactly what he said. N is a popular letter indeed! I'm not sure what was up with Chris' missolve in the Prize Puzzle round (CAR? What happened to the S?) but I think what threw him (it did me for a second) is that there was no ampersand! I would never just list 3 random places back to back, but maybe that's just me At any rate, I definitely understand Julia wanting to spin a bit more to try to get more money before solving, but it's always a risky thing to do in the Prize Puzzle round. Certainly worked out in your favor! You seemed to be having a ball & were just eating up the whole experience. Congratulations!

As mellissa noted above, I also noticed Julia's sour attitude. I guess her attitude is why she didn't win .

Poor Julia ran into some bad luck, but it's very childish of her to be angry towards her fellow contestants. I can understand her wanting to get more money and wanting to win, but winning isn't everything. The main goal of being on Wheel Of Fortune is to have fun, whether you get goose-egged or not, and a chance to meet Pat Sajak in person, as well as getting a chance to shake his hand on the show. I apologize for sounding mean, but it's the truth because millions of people in America want to be on the show, however, only 585 people are lucky enough to get picked for the entire season and I'm fortunate enough to be picked to be on the show, as well as many of my fellow members on here. Anyways, I do want to say this: Congratulations on the victory, Kathy! Sorry you couldn't win the car in the bonus round, but at least you don't have to worry about paying more taxes on that, along with the trip and the money you've earned.

I don't think round 1 was all Kathy, actually. I'm pretty certain there was a null cycle at the beginning of round 1. The wheel looked like it was probably going to land on bankrupt in the wide shot (looked almost identical to the start of round 4), but landed several spaces behind it in the close-up. That could also explain the N and T being avoided during the round: there's a good chance they were called after Kathy's probable initial bankrupt spin.

Congrats Kathy! Loved that you gambled for the $10K.. too bad the bankrupt got you. Enjoy your TWO trips!! Awesome!
I'm curious too-- was Julia as bitter in person as she came off on TV? I guess some people just can't hide their disappointment. Too bad. It looked like she was trying to hand you or Pat the wild card at the end?

I guess some people just can't hide their disappointment. Too bad. It looked like she was trying to hand you or Pat the wild card at the end? Thanks so much -- it was such a wonderful experience -- a real dream come true! I wish I would have bought the "o" to help me figure out "Conveyor" Belt Buckle because I may have solved right away rather than spinning and hitting the "Bankrupt" but I really cannot complain! Julia was not the warmest person in the world to begin with, but in her defense she did have some travel trouble -- delayed flights and the airline lost her luggage, and her son's flight was delayed as well and he didn't arrive until 2am, so I think she was a bit out of sorts. When she called the used "N" I think that also was a mental set-back for her, and when I did it as well (N is a popular letter!) I whispered to her something to the effect "so now we both did it" hoping it would loosen her up a bit, but it never did...

Just a few thoughts... I was super relieved to win TU2, I feel that doing so really took the pressure off so I could just relax and have a good time. To me that was the key to the game! Was kicking myself for calling the "P" in "Super" and leaving the double "C"s on the board, but didn't want to chance any more spins in R1. I was more nervous after that solve than I was beginning the show -- going into the break my knees were shaking so hard that I thought I was going to fall off the podium, and Gary had to take my hand to help me step down! I knew going in that unless it really didn't make sense, I would take the shot at the $10K if I landed on it, and it was such a rush to have it come up even if I didn't end up keeping it Hindsight being 20/20, I really wish I would have bought an "O" after buying the "U", and wish I would have been more "wheel-aware" of the danger wedges to be more strategic in spinning. R3 was so strange! I was so embarrassed to call a used letter -- one of my nightmare scenarios -- and I felt so badly for Chris for the missed solve. I never thought it would get to me but when it did I knew there were double letters left so I took the chance on spinning for more money -- wish it would have been more than $600, but I am not complaining! Had to be super careful there too, didn't want to add any type of "and" or anything to Bars Boutiques Galleries! Wish during the prep/practice we had the chance to pull up prizes/wedges -- it was a real challenge and I wasn't really prepared for how sticky they are! Also, for all the coaching the CCs do, I wish they would have mentioned BR play, and stressed for players to sound it out and at least say something. I hate that I just stood there! I must say though that it was the experience of a lifetime, and exceeded all expectations. The WoF Staff were incredible and I am so grateful to them for selecting me as a contestant! Finally, finding this board and reading about everyone else's experiences and tips was invaluable to the whole process -- I truly feel having the insight from others and behind-the-scenes knowledge helped me stand out during the auditions to get me to Culver City to begin with, so "THANK YOU" BAV Community!!!

Red Haired Chick you were amazing! You looked, sounded and played wonderfully! I was screaming BULKY into the TV hoping you could hear me haha, but as many of us who have played the game know, sometimes the word just doesn't come to you! Two amazing trips and great cash to boot, you did great!! Congrats, and enjoy your wins

$2,000 Toss-Up: Song Title_ _ _ ' T / _ U Y M _ / L _ _ _ Kathy solves CAN'T BUY ME LOVE. I so thought this was CAN'T BUY MY LOVE. Congrats on your win. Beatles were my favorite growing up -- was super stoked that this was the song title! And may I just add that I am super sad about Prince. I missed him the last time I was in Vegas and was hoping he would be performing there again for my upcoming trip. Tragic loss of a great talent!

Kathy, you did a great job last night! Except for the BANKRUPT in Round 2 that cost you $10,000, things really went your way tonight. Glad to see you gamble because you won that trip to Vegas. Chris won some decent dollars, but I dunno what he was thinking in the Prize Puzzle. Gotta agree with Paul that maybe the lack of an ampersand threw him off. Why do the writers keep doing that? Man, if there's any word to describe Julia, she looked mad. I hope she still had a good time. Oops...you and Julia repeated the N? The Bonus Puzzle wasn't stupid, but any word related to BULK is not easy to get. And yikes at your car loss. The bigger envelopes have been hit recently, but not won? I think CAN'T BUY ME LOVE was a good candidate for simply being categorized as TITLE. There's a movie from the 1980s with the same name starring Patrick Dempsey. My rating: Low 7 Enjoy your winnings, Kathy!
