If next season talk isn't allowed, forgive me; I don't post much here anymore.
For the past 30 years, the colors on the wheel changed in every year ending in a 6 (1986, 1996, 2006). Anyone want to bet that it will happen this year too?
I don't necessarily hope they change, because I do like the current colors, but good grief the wheel is in desperate need of a makeover in some form or fashion.

I don't think they'll change the colors but they probably will change a few dollar amounts. If they don't change the dollar amounts for S34, I'm almost positive they will for S35.
I don't want the colors to change. I think it's eye-pleasing just the way it is. Dull colors look, well, dull and neon/bright colors are too "in your face".

I think someone said that one time, but in all honesty, I doubt it'll happen this year. I also agree with what tlc38tlc38 said. To add to that, today's colors are not unlike the ones used from 1986 to 1996 (the scheme that I like the most) only with the numbers having a shimmering effect and a more uniform look. At the same time, the way the colors are arranged seem off when compared to the way they were arranged 25 years ago.

The changes in 2006 were minor. But if they do change it, we're probably not going to see it until two weeks into the season. There is plenty of precedent for changes being made in October.

I actually have a suspicion that absolutely NOTHING will change on the wheel for S34.
However, I do think they'll change a few wedge values for S35 but I don't think the colors will change.

If I could think of any changes to make, possibly shifting the position of the blue $600 away from the orange $650 might be in order. Just seems a little odd to see two dollar amounts beginning with a "6" side by side like that. Dropping one of the $500 wedges might be another idea to go, possibly a returning $750 wedge would do the trick?

Well, they could start using $850 and $950, as those are the only three-digit amounts that have never appeared on the actual Wheel. (I remember seeing $950 on a floor replica back in the day, but still...)

$850 was used in the early years, but got tossed out in 1979 when the Biggest Freaking Deal became $2,000. (Not that I expect you'll see this, though, given you've been banned.)
As for the discussion at hand, personally I think the current colors for the wedges are a bit dull. I'd love to see the late-1986 palette make a comeback.

I hope they change the orange $900 to $600 and the yellow $600 to $900 so that the yellow wedge beside of the express wedge will be the same throughout the entire game and they wouldn't have to change it just for one round.
I'd also like to see the orange $650 change to $750.
And change the pink $600 back to $900.

I think that the colors of the Wheel are just fine as they are. However, I hope that they get rid of one of these annoying $650... If they don't want to add a $750 wedge, at least I would change the purple $650 to $550, and I would add another $800 somewhere.

But, to be realistic, I don't think that they are going to introduce a new amount, and less having done it a few seasons ago. I guess that the template will be the same...
