I have found that people actually tweet during episodes and use the hashtag #WheelOfFortune on Twitter. It is typical social media with some really mean/ignorant/clueless posts but some are quite hilarious, and this might just be my new guilty pleasure!

If you want even more insanity, search the actual words "wheel of fortune".

If you want even more insanity, search the actual words "wheel of fortune". i purposely stay away from twitter/Facebook because of the "insanity". My life has enough drama without adding to it.

If you want even more insanity, search the actual words "wheel of fortune". Wow, you're right, even more insanity! I hope poor Julia didn't get on any social media, she has just been lambasted. She came across on the TV screen so poorly, and although she wasn't the warmest person I ever met, she certainly was not as bad as she seemed.

Let's be honest: A lot of people have shown hatred towards MarioGS because of how well he played in season 33, as well as kevin's excitement, and my episode for shouting out "Boo-yah!" about 10 times if you include the number of times Pat Sajak said it.

I'm afraid so, genius2751. Kevin and I had a reason to be excited and being on the show is too obvious. Besides, we both wanted to be nostalgic as contestants on Wheel have shouted out "Big Money!" when spinning that heavy wheel back in the old days.

Oh, I know what you mean. When I won the 9th tournament some people expressed that I shouldn't have won because they considered that I was extremely arrogant

WHAT?! People hated Kevin? Oh yes. Well, it was a mixed bag like Eugene. I'm very polarizing, what can I say. I compiled (I think all) the tweets about me and my episode here. Didn't include stuff about other contestants. Lindsey had some mean ones directed toward her for not knowing "_AR_ AND SUNNY YEAR-ROUND" www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.10206243821036858.1073741827.1305240202&type=1&l=1c482f45baMy favorite is the most punchable game show contestant one. I think that honor should still go to eybyon

Lindsey had some mean ones directed toward her for not knowing "_AR_ AND SUNNY YEAR-ROUND" I think this should have been somewhere on that pie graph. "THIS PERSON IS AN IDIOT! THEY DIDN'T GET THAT EASY PUZZLE! / I CAN DO BETTER / I SHOULD BE A CONTESTANT!"

I rarely post to the boards, but I did want to add this: I post to Twitter under the same moniker( NopeNoWay ), and I will say a lot of people who use that hashtag are broken up into the segments that Mario graphed. But I also want to add that if I tweet something catty or negative, it's usually within the spirit of my account and within the spirit of Twitter, which is meant to be instant(and at times, comedic) reactions to what is going on at the time, be it in life or on television. The Jeopardy article(about mainly female contestants being harassed/stalked/bullied) after their appearances made me rethink how I approach my criticism of game show contestants. If my show were airing during the era of Twitter, I am almost certain I would have had a lot of racist/homophobic stuff directed at/about me. I would never condone contestants having mean things tweeted directly to their Twitter handle, but I also think if someone makes a comment, it is definitely free speech. While I can watch what I say, I can't apologize for my reactions to what a contestant wears, the illogical letter choices, the horrible missolves, the moments when a contestant looks defeated/disgusted and they forget the show is capturing their every move even if Pat is speaking to the winner, Pat's schadenfreude, the cheap Retail Me Not Gifts, bad directing choices, etc. Before I knew of BAV Boards, I assumed I was Wheel's biggest cheerleader and biggest critic. Not only am I happy to have been proven wrong, but I'm also happy that Twitter has allowed me to connect with some of this show's biggest fans(Robert, Eugene, Kevin, Emil, among others) who either put up with me in spite of my vulgarity, political beliefs, and catty comments or mute and act as if everything is normal when I tweet directly to them. LOL. And it allowed me to connect with this message board although most of my actions are lurking. I hope not everyone believes that catty Wheel watchers like myself are just horrible individuals who put horrible things into the universe. Beneath the catty comments, we really do love and care about this show. I think the show is unbelievably challenging and it requires more knowledge and skill than one would believe. ETA: And I always bust the chops of arrogant Jeopardy fans. I can't stand them and the assertion that Jeopardy is somehow this bastion of amazing, wonderful television is truly eyerolling. I LOVE Jeopardy, but there's room for trivia AND word strategy on game shows without knocking fans of either. And an hour of Jeopardy everyday would be absolutely, painstakingly boring. Not to mention, some markets already air a Jeopardy rerun early morning/mid-afternoon.

Raymond, you and I do have something in common other than being an enormous fan of Wheel Of Fortune, but I myself have made snarky comments on Twitter about game show contestants and after reading an article about how JEOPARDY! contestants are often being bullied, I was disgusted and it made me realize that being a bully towards a contestant on any game show is stupid. I agree with you that we all have the freedom to say whatever we like and I admit, I do criticize contestants for making decisions that are either really bad or just confusing or both. No matter what game show we go on, it will always be challenging when we actually play for real instead of sitting at home and shouting out answers or letters when watching that program. I also want to sat that I am ashamed of what I did back then, especially when I acted like a jerk towards Brad Rutter back in 2014, but I will never be sorry for who I am. I only need to be careful with what I say from now on, whether it is on social media or when I do meet with fellow contestants in person or both.

I refuse to be lumped in with the likes of MarioGS, eybyon, and emilburp. They cray cray. I agree with most all of the sentiments above, but I'm too lazy/tired to respond and can only think of the 100k Pyramid!

I only need to be careful with what I say from now on, whether it is on social media or when I do meet with fellow contestants in person or both. I was appalled by previous things I'd tweeted. I'd never tweet them at the contestants directly, but it was pretty bad. I choose my words more carefully and try not to say rude, vicious things anymore although I still make social observations. I do recall once getting into a Twitter spat with a Wheel contestant's wife who accused me and others of being jealous of her "handsome hubby." O-K. And I agree about challenging when you're actually on. I am blessed I didn't have a horrible/viral embarrassing fail. But, at the same time, my heart cannot forgive "AH-CHILL-US" or "HOO_Y" on the Express or "I HAVE THE WINE..." I mean... I can't forgive that. If I did that, I would expect to have my pistachios roasted by America and be the joke of every cocktail party I ever went to.

I meant to type the word say, not sat. Oops! Like I said in my Spinning Story, I accidentally said bass as a type of fish or singer Lance Bass instead of bass as in a type of cliff used for music or a popular Meghan Trainor song and thankfully, that was only during practice, which Gary O'Brien advised me to be careful when it comes to solving puzzles when they start taping the games for real.
