Hello, y'all!
I'm a Texan dweller who has a really painful pun as a username, which I'm sure you noticed right off the bat. I've got quite a lot to say, but first, the forum-related thing -- I love Wheel of Fortune, and in fact some of my earliest TV memories are of it. Of course, when I was little, I was too young to read, let alone solve any word puzzles, but I have a lot of memories of my parents watching it while we were preparing dinner on numerous nights, on a little kitchen TV we used to have and on a much bigger living room TV. I've been pretty consistently watching it through most of my life; I wouldn't say I've done it religiously, but several moments stick out to me (I recall a bonus round "BOOKWORM" solve with only the R and the M, to name one...think that was 2003?) and I'm still watching it to this day, though recently I've really made a more conscious effort to catch it every night. Sadly my local provider broadcasts it in pretty lame quality (30FPS and low bitrate), but hey, I still get to watch which is what counts!
Oh, right, about me? I am 21 years old and I love old electronics as a major hobby, hence my painfully punny name. I'm a college student majoring in electrical engineering, fittingly enough. My sister did once audition to go on, but sadly she didn't make it terribly far...I've been on the fence about doing it too, though we'll see if I work up the courage.
Hoping to make some decent contributions to the forum! I'm quite happy I found this place to talk to people about one of my numerous interests. I record episodes every night so I imagine I'll end up with a giant archive eventually. I started doing that this past summer so I have a pretty large number of the reruns. I also like watching old episodes every once in a while, especially with my fascination over how much about the show has changed over time. I love pointing out all the little set piece differences and the differing game rules.
So, I'll see y'all around, then!
